Hey, everyone in my organization does that everyday! Since the late 1960’s we have been dedicated to community benefit activities and organizations. Huge corporations are ALWAYS abusive of the populace.
Well, there is one exception, we don’t drive much and our cars average ~35mpg, but we do have to buy gasoline occasionally.
And, we paid into social security and medicare for ~60 years. They are investments. Anyone who calls them ‘entitlements’ and tries to take OUR money in them from us should be destroyed!

I guess I was ahead of the curve since I very rarely use the services of any of these places. Following the boycott will feel like a typical day.

Gas is difficult, but I don’t shop at big stores and haven’t for a long time, I like knowing who my money is going to, I might pay more, but oh well. Amazon if it’s an odd product that’s hard to find.

“Entitlement” means that you’re authorized or have met the qualifications to receive something. If you have paid into Social Security then you are damn well “entitled” to it. Don’t fall into the Republican tactic of spinning that word as a negative. It does not mean “unearned privilege”.
@5 jimf is correct. Having paid into them, we are entitled to them. The problem is. as jimf pointed out, in today’s illiterate world if they want to gripe, they should criticize unearned entitlements. The repugs and drooling masses don’t discriminate between earned and unearned.
Also, thanks, PZ, for mentioning this. And, you are correct, it needs to be publicized more and go for longer to have a true impact on those greedy corporations!
Let’s add a little context here. The huge corrupt conflict of interest contract awards to the Felon Muskrat are true unearned entitlements

Maybe the goose bought the Doc Martens at a thrift store. If not they were probably purchased before the Feb 28th economic blackout day.
On an ironic aside, back in the early 90s a friend often lectured me on the need for nonconformity while wearing Doc Martens and he would often listen to industrial bands like NIN and Ministry.
