Could we come up with a more boring title?

This weekend, it’s time for another Podish-Sortacast, and this one is called “Organizations”.

OK, I’m falling asleep already. It’s all a ruse, though, to lure everyone into a false sense of security: the plan is to talk about all those organizations that have failed us, discussing things like the Andrew Torrez case.

Uh-oh, I just realized…Freethoughtblogs is an organization, of sorts. A very loose organization, with me as the nominal head. This could take an ominous turn, becoming a revolution and a coup, all in real time during the broadcast. Maybe it’ll be painfully exciting after all!

Could we come up witha more boring title – is that a challenge? ;-)

Not that it actually matters & I know I’m the last person to talk when it comes to spelling since my own stinks so much but isn’t organisation’s spelt with an ‘s’ not a ‘z’ in the middle or is that a British (& Aussie?) versus US of A thing?

More importantly, I’m wondering what time its going to be happening in my timezone?

StevoR – “Organisation” is the Brit spelling. We spell it correctly in the US, of course, as “organization”.

Yes, but you spell “aluminium” wrong! And I won’t get started on how you write “lorry” or “pavement”.

    A wild time!

Uh, just where is the commentariat supposed to gather and rally before storming the barricades and security officers? And who’s paying for our buses?

A more boring title? Yeah, I knew a lad who had a little creative writing magazine going. It had been around for a while, and he decided it was time for a new name. So he decided to re-baptize it, “Creative Writing”. Yeah.

I gently suggested that maybe he’d want to try to think of something a bit more inspiring. But no, he was happy with that title. Says he, “It’s time to move up to the next level.” Oh. OK.

Why worry? This was a publication that I don’t think more than 6 people a month saw. I saw it. I’d give him a little piece on occasion, so he’d send me a copy of the magazine by mail. Which I had to pay for.

I don’t think his magazine ever won any awards. None of my pieces did.

@ ^ John Morales : Nah, bores can be exciting depending how deep they go and what sort of water – & other things they produce! We use bore water at work FWIW albiet had some issues there lately. Can vouch for it being under pressure and quite dramatic when lines are hit..

It could also be the name or biography of a pig too obviously named and mispelled. (Picturing an, as far as I know hypothetical book cover and potentially sub-title “Bore – one porker of a curly tail! right now. )

Also I vaguely reading reading about an SF author who had a very popular crashing bore as a character in a short story (?) as an alien that could literally jump up and then crash down and bore or drill through stuff..

To answer my own question seems that for South Oz this will be :
