This past February, I took pictures of the ice crystals that had formed on the deck of our new house. The filigree looked like scrimshaw carvings of coconut palm trees and stormy seas, like some sailor’s whimsical record of a voyage 300 years ago through the Laccadives or Maldives.
Those Ice Spiders are some classy arachnids all right.
