Burn it all down

Wow. We can start with Larry Nassar, who is torched by Aly Raisman’s words. She also aims the flames at the USOC.

Now is the time to acknowledge that the very person who sits before us now—who perpetrated the worst epidemic of sexual abuse in the history of sports, who is going to be locked up for a long, long time—this monster was also the architect of policies and procedures that are supposed to protect athletes from sexual abuse for both USA Gymnastics and the USOC.

Much respect for her ferocity.

who perpetrated the worst epidemic of sexual abuse in the history of sports

Well, maybe the worst that’s been exposed so far. We’re seeing lots of iceberg tips. There’ll be lots more.

And once again, an institution of higher learning…MSU…is up to their necks in this. 144 lawsuits so far. The head coach got the first reports in 1997, but dismissed them.

Here are some other victims testimony. The first one, Kyle Stephens, begins with a warning about the details she reveals. She blames her father’s suicide on the revelations of Nassar sexually abusing her.

There are other horrible stories here.

I hope everyone who ever added and abetted his crimes goes to jail as well. But I doubt that they will.
