FtBCON: Welcome!

Our first welcome session went well, despite a scheduling mixup, trying to figure out how to get a video+sound to play on a hangout, and a few audio glitches…and here it is:

Tune in in half an hour, at 6pm Central, for Sex and Skepticism.

By the way, here’s David’s book, I, Atheist: America’s Loudest Heathen Fires Back. Go buy it!

I didn’t realise this was that kind of conference …

PZed disappeared into the void and suddenly a voice from Hell went after “all people on Earth”.

Now I’m scared and need a new office chair …

I hope his will all end up on yutub so I can watch it when I get back to a place where I can watch yutub.

PZ: You doing something different with your hair?

That doesn’t look like the “buzz cut” from my youth. Rather, like he had just washed it, and due to the heat/humidity/ it hadn’t dried yet. I’ve seen the same results all week with the 90 ºF and humid weather here in Chiwaukee.

I hate to say it, but I was sweat-soaked. It’s dreadfully hot, we have no air conditioning, and during the recording I have to turn off the fan that keeps the air circulating in here.

You should have founded a “Freethought Blogs Assocation” and advertised “FtBACon” :P

Gah! Rough. Ironically, it isn’t miserable in Texas, but it sounds like the north is getting baked. You should just strip to the skivvies. We all know each other here.

Are the other videos up on YouTube? Not that I care, because… I… watched… them… all… live. I lay in bed with headphones on till seven in the morning (midnight CDT). That’s the first time I’ve stayed up that late (I’ve done 6, on a dig where we worked in the evening and at night to see the pterosaur tracks better…)

So, I slept five hours (instead of ten), have to do meatspace stuff like cooking and probably shopping all in… just over two hours now, and then the conference resumes. I think I’ll be legally insane all weekend.
