America is doomed

And you know why? Because women are taking over, and they can’t handle the power.

This guy, Jesse Lee Peterson, is amazing. You listen to him, and notice that he’s incoherent and stupid, completely lacking in charisma, with a speaking style that makes you wonder if he’d been stunned with a hammer just before, and yet he’s got a ministry and a television show and is beloved of the Republican Party. Religion and Republicanism really are a route for idiots to succeed.

YOUR America is over? Excellent! Good riddance! About fucking time!

It’s finally time for rational people’s America!

  2. Rick says

Good efking grief. I couldn’t take 45 secs. Got to the the part where he says, “One thing I know for certain, women can’t handle power.”

Morons like that make me want to vomit. And maybe we should give the dimmest bulb on the tree more power, it’ll still be dim.

  3. StevoR says

    Women are taking power?

Yeah, that explains why Hilary Clinton couldn’t even beat the Kenyan-born melanin-enriched skinned socialist with the funny terrorist-sound-alike named individual for the presidency last election!

    “Women have no shame.” Good.

Also really? If only that were true!

Sad fact is that the shameless one here is Jesse Lee Peterson, shamelessly and un-even-not-pologetically quoting Limbaugh’s false and offensive “slut” slur against Sandra Fluke and confusing contraception with abortion.

    The stupid it burns!

  4. StevoR says

.. the Kenyan-born melanin-enriched skinned socialist with the funny terrorist-sound-alike named individual for the presidency last election!

For crystal clarity – that was sarcasm there.

@Rick – its okay, you’re on Pharnygula and thus allowed to “fucking” if you want to!

For instance : Jesse Lee Peterson is a fucking dropkick and fuckwit who cannot and should not handle any power (or have any political influence) at all!

Good thing I wasn’t tinkling my good scotch when I pressed play. Just 1 question: why would gawd forsake his/its favourite country? Would the resident deity do something to smite the enemies of America?

Oh wait, that’s what the GOP is doing…

  7. Naked Bunny with a Whip says

I’ll bet he never said “God damn America”, though, so it’s all cool.

  8. rumorhasit says

WTF! So once a woman stands up and demands the right to be treated right and takes control of her life, she is degraded? Wow, just wow. I think my brains shot out of my head from stupidity overload from listening to this guy. He blew my mind. Where is his shame for spewing such nonsense.

  9. wytchy says

I thought I had a pretty good constitution for BS, thought I’d be able to be a champ and finish it.

I got to about 1:08 before his idiocy, combined with his strange “I was hit in the face with a mace” slur made me stop. I’m so sick and tired of the whole “women are so illogical!” argument that I could literally vomit. How many times do I have to hear that in one fucking day?!

I’m glad “his” America is going away to be replaced with a more egalitarian one.

  10. says

“One thing I know for certain, women can’t handle power.”

Oh, absolutely, I mean between the fluffy pink lady brains and bleeding, why they are utterly unreliable!

    I loathe these fuckwitted Pufftarts.

    gobi:

I am sure some of his best friends are women…

No, I doubt that. Helpmeet, possibly. Broodmare, possibly. Maid, possibly. I’ll betcha he’d let a woman use his bathroom, though!

  11. Naked Bunny with a Whip says

So once a woman stands up and demands the right to be treated right and takes control of her life, she is degraded?

I guess he pines for the 1890s, when women were treated as more than equals.

Honestly, who gave this dumbass authority??

  13. says

Funny, I’ve heard from racists the exact same arguments against African-Americans. They’re stupid, lazy, incompetent, and ignorant. They should never have been given the right to vote. They aren’t smart enough to do anything. My brother who is a retired Chicago cop and my brother-in-law have been preaching this since the 70s. That’s one of the reasons I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles years ago. According to them the only reason a black person is ever promoted is affirmative action. I figured that, if that were true, with all these incompetent people in important jobs in business and government, the entire country should have collapsed by 1985, yet it survives.
It seems that if women running things is destroying the country, the first thing to be done is to reduce the number of single women raising families.

  14. cavemanbebop says

What saddens me is that my ex-girlfriend, who is from a religious family, actually accepted that a woman’s place is behind a man. That kind of thinking makes me facepalm hard enough to break my hand and give myself a concussion. I know this isn’t the first time that it has been said, but why any woman would adopt Christianity is beyond me.

  15. StevoR says

Durnnit. I swear my comments change and add typos or take out words (like say ‘say’) *after* I click submit.

Yes, Ive watched it all out of sheer train-wreck, face-palming, morbid fascination. (Do I get a medal, can I claim some brain cells and time back?)

All quotes below from the douchecanoe in question :

“Most women can’t make sound decisions!”

    What The Fuck!

“This woman [Sandra Fluke] was testifying about all the sex she was having?”

Defending Rush Limbaugh’s abusive slanderous lies. What The Fuck!

No. Sandra Fluke really wasn’t saying anything remotely like that.

“When I saw that testimony it ..”

No you didn’t see that testimony you idiot You couldn’t have otherwise you’d know how wrong you are presumably wouldn’t say it. Or did you have the sound off at the time?

“.. uh, it huh, it blew my mind!”

Somehow I don’t think blowing Jesse Lee Peterson’s mind would be a hard thing to do.

“The wimminz wanna make choices and control their own bodiez?! Yaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!” Ka-BOOOM! [Head explodes.]

(BTW.The above is NOT an actual quote from that but pretty close to the gist of it.

“..men are so weak, they allow their women to run wild..”

    OH MY .. FSM!

    “Satan is having his way..”

Riiight. (Eyeroll.) I bet he likes imagining that somehow.

“Women are voting in the wrong people, people who are evil. .. this probably why women weren’t allowed to vote in the good ole days when men was men!”

Yes because now men aren’t men and – hang on a sec! You ain’t aman no more then, Jesse? But that makes you a woman which makes you evil! Right?

Also “Good Ole Days?” You mean like back when they had slavery and didn’t have flushing toilets?

“.. when my grandma went do stupid stuff I’d talk to my granddad and tell him and he’d say, yeah, that women is crazy .. Dad is afraid of Momma this is how evil is coming in…”

    Okay, wait? What!? The. Fuck!

“Evil is coming in through the woman.”

Yeah, I was wondering if you could possibly get any more misogynistic and somehow you do. Sad.

Also somewhere in there he openly stated that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Oh & 1 likes, 16 dislikes on Youtube now.

  16. kemist, Dark Lord of the Sith says

“One thing I know for certain, women can’t handle power.”

Yes, and some brains cannot handle breathing and talking properly at the same time and should abstain from doing both for the greater good of the human race.

    But we already knew that.

I’m so sick and tired of the whole “women are so illogical!” argument that I could literally vomit.

You want one that’ll induce even more vomit ?

    Here it is :

Women who are logical are trying to be men and are confused about their gender. And emotions are so much better, yes, and womanly, dontcha know.

Then they’ll tell us women have so much talent at cooking, changing diapers, bringing them beers and picking up after them, why they just can’t do it the way we do. We should be proud of doing our womanly suicide-inducingly boring menial work. While they do the important manly stuff that our fluffy pink lady brains “can’t handle”.

  17. says

    cavemanbebop:

Yes, the patriarchal beliefs in christianity are bad, however, don’t dismiss plain old entrenched sexism and patriarchal beliefs/thoughts/actions outside of religion. It’s everywhere and there are plenty of women who buy into entrenched, toxic sexism.

Well, of course. He’s one of them.

  21. Hekuni Cat says

Once again a misogynist fuckwit longs for the “good old days.” Of course, during those good old days Peters longs for, he would have been subjected to racism galore and probably slavery depending on the actual selected date of this golden age.

Naturally, Peters doesn’t desire racism and slavery in keeping with the times of his golden age. Instead he cherry picks the things he feels are crucial for his patriarchal utopia where “men were men and women were women” (and, presumably, “small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real, small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri).” In other words, when women were firmly under the heavy thumb of gods-commanded men, in their roles as supreme logical and natural authority in both familial and worldly matters.

Women getting the vote – *gasp*, *shock*, *horror* – is the root of all evil. Ooooh. That came as such a surprise. [/sarcasm]

  22. StevoR says

Also somewhere in there he openly stated that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

8 minute 50 seconds mark if anyone is curious – that was apparently in this dochebags one neuron-mind “one of the greatest mistakes America ever made was allowing women to vote, it was a big mistake”.

Ye-non-existent gods! Really? Did we drop back a few centuries here or somthing?

  23. aleopold says

What. An. Idiot. I will be all too happy to prove this odious man wrong after I finish my twelve years of post high school education. I am floored that he possesses his own television show. That’s low even for the GOP, which I thought could stoop no further.

    Caine:

Yes, the patriarchal beliefs in christianity are bad, however, don’t dismiss plain old entrenched sexism and patriarchal beliefs/thoughts/actions outside of religion. It’s everywhere and there are plenty of women who buy into entrenched, toxic sexism.

First of all, I hope I did that right. I am actually new to using blogs and such. But yes, I am quite aware that sexism is alive and well in the world. I guess I just have trouble understanding why women would willingly insert themselves into this stuff. And what is more baffling is the idea of a woman preaching. Many men think that it is against their religion for a woman to be a pastor. Put that idea with the misogyny of the bible and you get a double-facepalm.

  25. ladyh42 says

Posted on YouTube comments: “The inability to speak coherently was one thing, and the anti woman bigotry was another, but the irony of a black man complaining that someone was given the right to vote staggers me. All I could hear was whaaa, I can’t beat up my woman without getting sent to jail like they could in the ‘old days’, when men were men and the sheep were nervous. His Mamma should slap him around some.”

That said, his saying that women freak out in stress situations is stupid. Is he really trying to say that guys NEVER freak out? Cuz if he is I have an ex or two plus a paranoid step father that he should meet. . . oh and my brother who swung a shovel at my father in law once :P

  26. Usernames are stupid says

In a just world, this fool would be speaking to an empty room.

Pardon me, but I’m having a very hard time finding the appropriate epithet to describe this individual. “Asshole” and “Mother Fucker” seem extremely inadequate to the task in the face of such a loathsome creature.

And people wonder why I am a misanthrope (well, besides the clinical depression and fucked up childhood).

  28. petzl20 says

This is an extraordinary example of someone who’s so scared and terrified by racism and racists, that he both: thinks of himself as part of the majoritarian race, and has taken on the most extreme racist views of the majoritarian race. All his views, word for word, are that of the most extreme white racists.

  29. Janine: History’s Greatest Monster says

I gave up after five minutes. I could not follow from how women are not equipped to lead but that men were and how this moved to Sandra Fluke and demanding that out of wedlock sex and abortions be covered. Men do not do this.

That’s actually quite a fair question, caveman bebop, though not too hard if you use your imagination. What would you do in a socially subordinate situation? Conform to stay safe? Rebel? Try to change the system from within? Get extra privileges by being a sneak or informer or enforcer? The answer is that women don’t willingly insert themselves into sexist culture, we’re born here. And then since we’re human and not all interchangeable, we all deal with it in different ways.

No no no. This is all wrong.

I shall immediately call for the removal of the vote and all civil rights from all black people on the grounds that a) this guy is black and b) he is an utter gibbering fuck-knuckle. Because, you know, an arbitrary group is damned by its worst exponent.

Luckily I belong to a group, tribe, nation, sex, race, and species that has never done any wrong by anyone ever and is ALWAYS RIGHT. So fuck you women and blacks. Oh and Teh Gheyz (with their Agenda). Fuck them too…well, not fuck them I mean, that’s just encouraging them, that’s what they want…

    …CONSPIRACY!!!!!11111!!!!!

Clearly this Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson is trying to force us all into homosexual Snoo-Snoo Death Camps where we will all be Snoo-Snoo-ed to Death by Large Amazonian Lesbians. Then he will steal America for the Socialisms which gives poor people health care and doesn’t punish women for having a bit of an erotic thought just the once on a Thursday. The filthy sluts.

You saw it here first folks. I has done a Scientismic Proofs On The Internets in front of your very eyes. Using Special Logic, Quantum Mechanics and The Revelation of The Baby Jeezis. Put that in your pipe and smoke it America.

P.S. Anyone who thinks the above is trying too hard to be wacky, odd, and out there, watch the video in the OP again. Watch it. Tell me I’m the one that’s making unbelievable shit up. Go on. I dare you.

So here’s a question……when we finally take over and get all that power we can’t handle, do we get to exterminate misogynistic, lying shit-nuggets like this? That would be swell.

OK, I’ll bite. Slave owners believed that they were helping their “heathen” human farm equipment by forcing Christianity on them. It was forced upon them, it was not their will. After a certain point though, it became so engrained in the culture of African slaves such that they lost their tribal religions totally and assimilated into Christianity. Once something becomes a part of your cultural heritage, it’s not such a simple issue of “letting it go.” Hope I explained everything in terms simple enough to get through your troll-skull. Cavemanbebop, there are sociological reasons that women adopt religion, especially in countries with few to no social services, like the U.S. has become once again.

Women are socialized to please other people and, therefore, to avoid societal disapproval. Women still also bear most of the burdens of child-raising, meaning they are charged with passing on “values” to children.

More to the point, about half of my bosses over the years have been women and they have averaged somewhat better as bosses and colleagues than the men. I don’t understand how people like this exist in the real world (that is, not just idiot internet trolls). How can someone hate women that much? Like, a blanket hatred and disgust of ALL WOMEN. I can kinda understand racism, from people who are racially segregated and thus never come in contact with POC; I can kinda understand homophobia, from people who don’t think they know any gay folk so their whole concept of GLBT people comes from their church…but this sort of hate, that goes far beyond sexism? I don’t get it. At all. Doesn’t he have a mother? Sisters? Daughters? A wife?

On a related note, who would ever have sex with someone who thought like that? I might not be the best judge, as I don’t do men at all, but how low does your self-esteem have to be to sleep with someone who is literally disgusted with your very nature, and blames you and all people like you for the evil in the world? You do realize the underlying premise of this little rant, is that there is something wrong with women and that sex = success. That’s their whole thing sex=domination=success. It’s not helpful to reinforce that bullshit. They blame women for with holding sex because it is assumed that they are entitled to it.Your strategy of no sex= punishment plays exactly into this “gender warfare” crap. It’s not helpful to treat and equate sex with social success.

Not to mention the victim blaming and shaming of women you put forth. It’s not like sexism is ingrained in all of us by society. Just like the assholes up thread that blamed women for being stupid and being apart of religion. It’s not helping.

As a survivor I don’t fucking appreciate the blame for being in an abusive/unhealthy relationship. I got enough of that bullshit from my abuser, from the cops, the courts and society in general. Indeed, if I recall correctly, a USAF study revealed that women air force pilots may be better then men at handling decision making at high-g accelerations, such as those encountered in air combat situations. Now tell that to the “women freak out easily” crowd. If anything, biological evidence might suggest exactly the opposite.

If that’s not possible, I suggest you do your best to ignore me. You see, if you don’t do either of these things, then it begins to look like you simply wish to derail a thread so you can make it all about you. That’s not making you look any better.

Ah, the ending explains it all! This is about dominant men who like to bond women. I ain’t getting in that kind of fucked up shit. I mean, ropes and spanking can be fun, but this guy is talking hardcore BDSM here. It’s a wonder he didn’t come with his slave girl on a leash just to make a visual demo.

Oh FFS, take all this crap and shove it where the sun don’t shine. You are an idiot. You might try to educate yourself* about entrenched sexism, about patriarchy and patriarchal values and the kyriarchy, Cupcake. Until you know a bit more, shut up please.

*Why yes, Circe, I did it again! Oh my! You can shut the fuck up, too.

    Daisy Cutter –

I am not comfortable with the sort of gender essentialism that posits women as being smarter, better people, etc. than men.

No fear of that from me; I’ve dealt with (for various meanings of the phrase) plenty of women that are not so admirable as the ones mentioned in my earlier message. I’m not about to put anyone on a pedestal. I try not to make assumptions about people based on mere externalities, accept that I must sometimes fail and try to deal with that as best I can. Mostly it works, sometimes it fails horribly.

Not just contraception – birth control – for pity’s sake!

That’s a completely fact-free opinion, given that I only responded to a slurry of comments from others purporting to defend you, and given that the comment you quoted from me was a direct tounge-in-cheek response to one of your own comments about me having “magickal” powers and what not.

Yet, I agree that your concern for the thread getting derailed on what mainly, based on your comment, seems to be a miscommunication issue is a valid concern. I don’t see though how I can be blamed for it more than all the regulars and lurkers who jumped into the fray. For my own part, I’ll follow your excellent advice and just ignore any further comments on this issue, at least on this thread.

What do you mean “lately”? I always hated men who tried to “convince” people around them that their “I am god, you will submit” view of the world was the right one. I wasn’t talking about consensual here, by “hardcore” I meant “I think all women should be property, regardless of their opinion”.

Except that’s not what the word means, you fucking moron. It has an established use in this context. Express yourself better.

Language barrier, we use “hardcore” to express shit like this in my country. I am sorry I disturbed your sensitivity :). Also, my IQ is higher than 70 so, technically, I am not a moron. I am fucking…
