To cut or not to cut

Hugh Laurie (as William Shakespeare) and Rowan Atkinson (as his theater manager) debate about what to do about the length of Shakespeare’s new hit play Hamlet.

    Speaking of Shakespeare and cutting, one of the funniest things I’ve seen on stage (or anywhere else) is The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged). The climax is a very sped up Hamlet, performed backwards. My sides were aching.
