Regardless of whatever else may be said of him, Paul Kurtz was, in my opinion, the most significant Humanist philosopher of the 20th Century.

Sad news. Kurtz had a dynamic impact on humanist activism and culturally in terms of co-creating organizations like CSICOP. He was a prolific humanist, writer, thinker, and activist. He will be missed.
