Pakistani Sunni fanatics kill people in the name of Allah. They kill Shiites, Ahmadiyyas, Christians, Hindus. They kill Sunnis who do not support Sunni fanaticism. They kill women because they are women. They are now going to kill an 11-year-old child who was born in a Christian family. She was accused of burning a few pages of the Quran.
Pakistani girl accused of Quran burning could face death penalty.
Terrorist attacks have become a daily routine in Pakistan. Pakistani Sunni Fanatics have been killing Christians since the country was born in 1947 based on religion. You may want to know about some recent incidents.
Most of the judges and the lawyers in Pakistan are Sunni Fanatics. The Pakistani government does not take much initiative to stop killing of their minorities. Islamic faith encourages Muslims to kill people of different faith.
“And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]… but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.” (Quran 2:191-193)
“Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”(Quran 2:216)
“Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” (Quran 9:29)
“And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!” (Quran 9:30)
“If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and the alarmists in the city do not cease, we verily shall urge thee on against them, then they will be your neighbors in it but a little while. Accursed, they will be seized wherever found and slain with a (fierce) slaughter.” (Quran 33:60-62)
There are many verses in the Quran that advise Muslims to kill, destroy, harass non-Muslims.
Fake or hypocrite Muslims say that Islam wants Muslims to live together with non-Muslims in peace and harmony, because Allah says, there is no compulsion in religion. They do not like to talk about numerous verses of the Quran that supports the killing of non-Muslims. Pakistan’s true Muslims love the law against blasphemy, they use this law to commit violence against non-Muslims as well as so-called ‘progressive Muslims’ or fake Muslims. If you love Allah, you have to love Allah’s barbaric laws against humanity. Allah does not allow anyone to choose some of his laws and discard the rest of his laws. Allah wants everyone to believe in him and to believe in everything he says.
Deal with it.

I really hate religion day by day. I sometimes wonder whether it is mother nature’s way of getting rid of the discriminative race called humans! Other beings have no chance to live because of human greed. So it’s the revenge of nature. I will be happy if human race is wiped off completely. The earth has enough of hypocrisy and politics. Now lets get real and die.
ellenabbott says
humans are just simply murderous. if they weren’t killing each other over religion they’d be killing each other over land, food, water, sexuality, any reason will do. oh wait. they already do that. humans kill because that’s what humans do. Look, it’s the last (insert name of any large animal), get my gun so I can kill it! I’m surprised humans have lasted this long.
Who Knows? says
That’s pretty lame. To dismiss an organization that sanctions murderer in so many instances with, that’s what humans do. These people are smiling on the murders of so many innocent people, yet they cannot bear to have a few pages of a stupid book burned.
If you are not offended by the hypocrisy and brutality of this, hand over your human card now.
Upright Ape says
Ridiculous. You cannot dismiss the role religious doctrine plays in turning people violent and simply call it “human nature”. Curiously when followers of religion do something nice religion always gets the credit, but when they do nasty things it is “human nature”.
LykeX says
Actually, all things considered, humans are remarkably peaceful. We’re actually capable of living in cities with millions of people without bloody riots breaking out on a daily basis. I think that’s pretty extraordinary.
I ca walk down the street, passing by people that I’ve never met and have nothing in particular in common with, and nobody tries to break my skull.
If we weren’t so peaceful, we’d never have made it this far. The fact that we’re no outright pacifists doesn’t make us all murderous beasts. Most humans have some basic ethics and are not likely to attack another person without some provocation of other incentive. Unless…
We do have one other relevant brain function: designation of the out-group. Once we’ve placed someone in the out-group, the normal moral restraints no longer applied. Those are the other people. We don’t have to be nice to them. They’re probably all evil scum who deserve it anyway, so let’s go kill them.
Religion is very good at allowing people to designate others as out-group. It comes pre-packaged for that purpose. One of the fundamental points of any religion is that some people follow it and other don’t.
Since religion also tends to wrap itself in morality, that means it’s a short step to saying that those who don’t follow your religion are not moral. And if they’re not moral, there’s no reason to be nice to them. Better kill them before they come for you.
Politics, gender, ethnicity, language, economic class and much more have all been used for the same things, so it’s not as if
religion is the only thing that does this. It’s just particularly good at it.

The situation in Pakistan seems worse than described above. Shiite moslems are so regularly attacked in Pakistan that it hardly makes the news. Why is everyone so frightened that Iran may possibly make a nuclear bomb when Pakistan has been nuclear armed since the late 1990s.
The role of the Pakistan generals is disgusting.
To the Americans they say: “Give us more aid so we can fight taliban and drug dealers.”
To the ISI (Gestapo equivalent) “Why don’t you take some Saudi money
to fund madrasas and a few taliban. This way we can get more American money.”
Tariq Ali writes ably on Pakistan. He mentions the way the persecution of Ahmadis was a ‘political reward’ given to fundamentalists by one of Pakistan’s dictators.
Videos of islamic rallies show thugs in paramilitary uniforms standing around a man making an angry speech, just like fascist rallies in many places. And the aim of most of these organisations is to retain a feudal landowning system, and prevent any collective action by the poor to improve their lot in this world.

Another apostate attacking Islam. Same old…………
F says
And here you are, with nothing. Same old same old.
Kausik Datta says
I am deliberately overlooking the useless and empty snide remark about “apostate attacking Islam”. I would really love to know what this commenter, Jan, thinks about this business of the young girl arrested, and being tried, for ‘blasphemy’ with a possibly lethal outcome.
Albert Bakker says
If that is Jan’s concern when addressing this issue, then it follows that this is what islam is about for Jan, once more demonstrating the depth of antihuman depravity that is islam.
Allah is merciful, yeah. Allah is Pakistan looks more like it.
darsanic says
The most glaring example of Islamic hypocrisy is death sentence for apostasy when the Qur’an itself proclaims that ‘there should be no compulsion in religion’. There is a huge gap in precept and practice. No wonder it is getting a bad name everywhere.
smrnda says
First off, thanks for documenting this brutality. I get a bit sick of people who keep saying “atheists and liberals only attack Christianity and Islam gets a free pass!” Definitely not on this blog.
All said, I wonder if there is hope for these societies. I think once people start governing a society by evidence and reason, things start to improve and gradually, religion loses its influence. The problem is that religion tends to keep people stuck in the Dark Ages; instead of thinking, they’re too busy beating people to death over blasphemy or else they’re stuck living in fear of the beating.

Pakistan means land of the faithful. A country explicitly built as a theocracy, with inbuilt othering of all unfaithful. If words and symbols have power, this was never going to end well.
Winterwind says
It literally means “land of the pure.” The unfortunate implication is that Hindus are unclean.
I wouldn’t say that it was explicitly meant to be a theocracy. The founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Al-Jinnah, envisioned a secular state, and claimed that he wanted Hindus and other religious minorities to be free to build houses of worship without harassment. The Pakistan we see today has gone through several military coups and waves of religious fundamentalism. Pakistan has always struggled with balancing its secular values against its national narrative of being a refuge for Muslims against persecution and assimiliation by hordes of Hindu idol-worshippers. For the past few decades, the secular values have all but died away and religious fundamentalism is holding sway.
It doesn’t help that Saudi Arabia, armed with its oil money, has been building mosques all over the place and promoting its fundamentalist Wahabbi ideology. Some of the biggest victims of this have been other Muslims, especially Shia, Sufi and Ahmadiyya (who aren’t even allowed to call themselves Muslims any more thanks to a court ruling). Ironically, Pakistan was meant to be a refuge for Muslims but now it seems that it’s a very dangerous place for Muslim minorities.
Brian says
I stand corrected. I guess I must have misremembered the meaning of Pakistan and why it was set up.
Upright Ape says
The radicalization started under the coup plotter Zia ul’Haq, one of the cronies of the Reagan Administration. Zia believed Pakistan wasn’t orthodox enough, and boy, did he “rectify” that. That said, I think Jinnah was naive. You can speak of secularism and toleration all you want, but once you build a nation around one faith, radicalization is only a matter of time.

And here we go again. An unspeakable atrocity committed by Islam, and there are commentators pouring in to excuse it. Go figure.
Thank goodness that there are at least some with spines here.
Sameer says
Taslima Nasreen quoted some verses of the Holy Koran out of context and blown them out of proportion. If she really likes a debate on the verses of Holy Koran,I am ready for her. I challenge her to put the verses of the Surahs she quoted in order and explain us the meaning. Not verses of a particular surah from the middle and then another from the end but in order. The unsuspecting readers will be able understand her Satanic intention to disregard the belief of more 1.5 billion followers of Islam.
Who Knows? says
You have people ready to kill an 11 year old girl, and you want to debate some stupid nonsense in the book they use to justify it?
Sameer says
to who knows…
11 years old girl or 49 years old woman nobody got the right to burn the pages of the most holy book on earth. However if you r so sympathetic for that little Satan, u may ask the government to release her not by belittling the images of Islam but by begging in the name of humanity!
11 year old should not have done anything that was not suitable for her age.
LykeX says
Hey, guess what I’m using to light my cigarette right now?
Upright Ape says
The 11 year old girl is a “little satan”, just as Jessica Ahlquist is an “evil little thing”.
Religion kills compassion and turns human beings into savage beasts. Sameer is a good example of this.
Albert Bakker says
It seems Sameer just disproved that anything was taken out of context. Even he with all his knowledge about the proper context cannot resist to drop the pretense that they mean something better than they say. Apparently it is very hard to conjure up some kind of reasoning why the Koran is not every bit as evil as it says in almost every line that’s in it, dulling the mind with sheer abhorrence, ridiculously repetitive, making any random shopping list look like high literature in comparison.
Buzz Saw says
Three things:
First, I second what Who Knows? said. This is what you are concerned about? But, since you insist…
Second, the people who wrote the Koran are long dead. I find it doubtful that anyone can know for sure what those authors intended. Or if the people who eventually wrote things down even knew what Mohammad intended. Debating meaning seems quite pointless. You can probably get just about any sort of meaning, good or bad, you want out of the Koran, which is a problem.
Third, and somewhat similar to the second point, what kind of “context” do you think justifies those verses? I notice you didn’t bother to tell us what you think the context is supposed to be.
Albert Bakker says
Also the context seems to be understood pretty Satanically by most true muslims. Maybe it is they who should be convinced of how to interpret Koranic verses according to Sameer. Seems much more necessary than convincing infidels, provided they give a shit, that mainstream muslims, raging in their lust to kill an eleven your old girl allegedly with Down syndrome – most likely falsely – accused of something that should probably be officially encouraged in Pakistan, are not reading their fucken Koran right.
Tim Reid says
So is there something we can *do* about this? At the very least a petition or other way to raise awareness that this is happening, which might go some way to stopping this atrocity?
Yusuf says
‘Allah’ is Arabic for ‘God.’ Many people speak of it as it is a different god than the One God. It is cute, but embarrassing. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all have laws that allow them to protect themselves against persecution. Who am I kidding though, no one really reads these books or any for that matter, which is why we have the internet for all our prepackaged information thought out for us.
Who Knows? says
Allah, Yaweh, God, Whatever.
Quite a few people read. Just because you don’t, that doesn’t apply to everyone else.
Albert Bakker says
Laws to protect themselves against persecution is not the issue. The issue is laws commanding persecution of others. This is where Islam wins hands down of all religions today. Islam today is a bunch of turbaned retards with AK47’s, destroying world heritage sites when on a power trip, acid throwers, clueless crazies murdering cartoonists, insane psychopaths killing their own daughters, killing other peoples daughters. Men who laugh insanely when smashing girls their heads in with stones and dance with exuberant joy around corpses of slain women. People worshipping a God who’s name is “the Merciful” who want to kill little girls for insane reasons. People who want to ‘marry’ nine year old girls. And on and on and on goes the list.
This is Islam. And it is a horror.
Who Knows? says
This!
LykeX says
Who gives a shit? whether the concepts are connected, identical or whatever, what difference does that make? Who cares if the only difference is in the name, people are still killing each other over that name.
Besides, for every believer telling me that their gods are the same, there’s another telling me they’re different. You may think there’s no difference, but there are plenty of believers, from all religions, who will disagree. Sometimes violently.
You don’t get to blame us for getting it wrong when half the faith-heads in the world are saying the same thing. Clean your own house first.
They also all have statements from god saying outright “go kill the unbelievers.”
Least of all the people claiming they’re the word of god.
Phillip Helbig says
“Pakistani Sunni fanatics kill people in the name of Allah.”
See, you said “Pakastani Sunni fanatics” instead of “Pakistanis”.
“Most of the judges and the lawyers in Pakistan are Sunni Fanatics.”
See, you said “Most of the judges and lawyers” and not “the judges and lawyers”.
Both are examples of careful writing.
Do you understand why some people complain when you write “Men…” instead of “Some men…” or “Misogynist men…” or “Fanatical men…”?
fork says
“Do you understand why some people complain when you write “Men…” instead of “Some men…” or “Misogynist men…” or “Fanatical men…”?”
I’m pretty sure she does understand. I know I do. Here’s a couple of links that might help you understand and hopefully cut out the tedious complaining. I’m not holding my breath though, I’ve come across too many of you “not all men” types. Privilege-denying is the root of your complaint.
