Kevin Spacey’s weird video

When news broke on Christmas Eve that actor Kevin Spacey was going to be criminally charged with felony indecency assault and battery for sexually assaulting a teenager at a bar, few expected that he would respond with a bizarre three-minute video titled “Let me be Frank” where he channeled his character Frank Underwood from the show House of Cards for what seemed like an passive-aggressive pre-emptive defense.

Now ‘Skip Sullivan’ the ‘director’ of the Spacey clip provides a director’s cut commentary.

My understanding regarding this video was that it was released without him knowing that charges were being laid. I don’t know how accurate this is.

Let Me Be Frank is creepy and menacing. I know nothing about Kevin Spacey or the charges against him, but if I had been his woman I would cower in fear. And get a protection order.

Since I haven’t the show House of Cards, it is informative to be told he’s supposed to be in character.

Appeal to his popularity, I suppose.
