Another prediction: He won’t show any shame
I am compelled to make a prediction about Ken Paxton of Texas, who is running for the Senate.
Paxton, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, reported owning seven homes…
Stop right there. Seven homes? Who needs 7 homes? I have ONE, and I was quite proud of the fact that I have paid it off before my retirement. I figure I’m not rich, but am moderately self-sufficient and financially stable, but now I’m question that. What are people doing with seven homes?
Paxton, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, reported owning seven homes but said he earned no income from any. Yet all but one was listed for rent during the reporting periods, and some current residents and neighbors at those addresses confirmed that the properties were rented, the news organizations found. Receiving income and not reporting it is a violation of federal disclosure law, three ethics experts said.
Oh. He’s a landlord. I guess if I had 7 homes, that’s what I’d have to do with 6 of them, but I wouldn’t be proud of that.
And he didn’t bother reporting them, and further, LIED to say he received no income from them? I wouldn’t do that. I’d declare everything openly, and would maintain and pay taxes on them, which would probably mean I’d be selling them off as quickly as I could. Paxton, though, doesn’t believe in ethical behavior.
Which leads to my prediction. Ken Paxton, endorsed by Trump, will be Texas’s next senator. And by this accomplishment, you will know that Texas, and perhaps the rest of the country is well, is so corrupt that we’re going to need to plow it with salt and eject it from the Union.
Maybe Mexico could do something with the real estate.
Meanwhile in the Texas goobernatorial campaign, Republican candidate and current governor Greg Abbott refused to extradite an ICE officer in Texas custody to Minnesota, where the officer was charged with violence and filing false reports. The reasoning was that Minnesota is a bunch of woke pussies, or something like that.
As a result, the ICE officer was eventually released from Texas custody.
Now, The officer has been indicted on federal charges and is back in custody.
Do you remember when the Republican Party claimed to be “the party of law and order”?
So; I guess this means Abbott is probably going to be re-electeed.
Well to be fair ‘n balanced ‘n $#!+, during the ’08 presidential campaign when John McCain was asked, he didn’t know how many houses he owned.
It is also a serious violation of our tax laws.
The Federal IRS really doesn’t like it when you don’t declare your income on your 1040 annual income tax form.
Ken Paxton was accused of fraud by his fellow Republicans and is impopular, but The Idiot (TM) endorsed him so now he is the candidate for the senate.
He has A LOT of luggage which is the reason he avoids debates and meetings where the press can ask questions. This is not a good way to run a campaign, nor has has he received much campaign donations.

My family and I’ll be voting against Paxton for what it’s worth. Of course, I am ready for Republicans to find ways to ignore the vote.

To be fair, he had some legitimate grounds for confusion there – even if you don’t count questions as to which he owned, his wife owned, and they owned jointly.
F’rinstance, they had a little compound in Arizona, with several freestanding guest spaces: if that includes bedroom-buildings, with no kitchens or other facilities, or gazebos without even a bedroom, should you call each of those a “house”?
And they had purchased two adjoining seaside condominia in California, and knocked out some walls to make them a continuous space – should we count that as one “house” or two?
I don’t have much pity to spare for such problems, but I can see why he’d hesitate to give a specific answer since any precise number would produce accusations of falsehood.
