I already hated Stephen Miller, but…

I hadn’t listened to this report on his history yet. Yeesh. He is and always been deeply racist — we’re talking cartoonish levels of racism. Just a repulsive shithouse pit of ugly ideas. Why is it that his appointment wasn’t a deal-breaker for Trump? How is he still allowed to whisper in Trump’s ear? Why hasn’t the Mainstream Media jumped on how problematic one of the president’s most important advisors is?

How is he still allowed to whisper in Trump’s ear?

Because he knows Taco’s secret sauce?

Why hasn’t the Mainstream Media jumped on how problematic one of the president’s most important advisors is?

Because the oligarchs that own “Mainstream Media” still think they can control the monster they helped create?

Rhetorical questions can get you…something or other.

Just saw a bit in a company newsletter that I get headed “Spider Fans” with the blurb “Turns out the pet spider market is booming. For many, the journey to spider enthusiast began as an arachnophobe.” You and your spiders are infiltrating everything.

“Cartoonish” does not seem to adequately describe the absolute gutter-trash racism espoused by Miller since he was in middle school.

[totally OT, apropos of nothing much]

I had occasion to rewatch Rocky Horror the other week, and immediately thought of Richard O’Brien’s character (Riff Raff). Uncanny resemblance.

    (He wrote the musical, too)

How is he still allowed to whisper in Trump’s ear?

The Dark Side has gone way beyond that.

At this point, they are the puppet masters and Trump is just a meat puppet.

It’s thought that they got Trump to invade Portland, Oregon with the US military by showing him videos of protests from many years ago.
He is still claiming on TV that War torn Portland has been burnt to the ground and all the windows have been broken and boarded up.

The reality is that Portland is a vibrant, fun city on its way up. The current protests are one block out of 6,684 miles for metropolitan Portland. The peaceful protesters are a few dozen people out of a population of 2.7 million people.

One of Trump’s deputy chiefs of staff, Stephen Miller, has been a leading and longtime proponent of invoking the Insurrection Act. Miller has been at the center of discussions about the issue since Trump took office, said the five sources and another person familiar with the discussions.

Administration officials have discussed invoking the act if local law enforcement authorities cannot or will not protect ICE and federal law enforcement agents, one of the people familiar with the discussions said.

But one concern that some officials have raised is that invoking the act could eventually lead to pitting active-duty U.S. troops against other Americans, this person said.

    Miller is pure evil.
If he ever gets sent to prison, he can sleep though his sentence in his coffin. If anyone is an actual vampire, it would be him.

He is the one trying to get the Meat Puppet in Chief to invoke the Insurrection Act. This allows them to flood the USA with the US military to do what? Kill Americans I guess. Killing people is the entire purpose of the military after all.

I’m sure this is going to happen.
They are right now looking for any sort of pretext to do so.
What is stopping them any way?
It isn’t the US Supreme Court which has ceased to exist as a functioning part of the USA.

  6. John Watts says

Miller is our shadow president. Trump is an empty vessel into which he pours his poison. He’ll never invoke the 25th Amendment, no mater how non compos mentis Trump becomes, because then he’ll have to deal with JD. If that were to happen, JD would be well advised to deep six Miller’s ass asap. I’d love to see that. The Byzantine backstabbing would be a delicious spectacle.

At sometime before 17:00ish Cody talks of how a young Stephen Miller was calling into Larry Elder’s talk show with conservative rants then Cody admonishes parents to intervene if their kids develop a similar interest in news radio. He says watching NewsRadio is ok, if they refrain from asking what ever became of that character Joe Garrelli. That’s good advice there. I think his turned into a malformed pumpkin from hormone supplements or something.

  8. Hemidactylus says

    There’s also this Miller slam:

Also the last sentence in my @7 meant Joe’s head has turned into a malformed pumpkin. Editing mistake. I do tend to do ok here with spelling, witch I pride myself on. It’s October!

  9. antaresrichard says

That was one video I had to put on double speed in order to keep my exposure to Miller to a minimum.
    Such vileness.

Related: A Federal judge just prevented the Texas National Goon Squad from deploying to Chicago, Illinois.

Axios: Driving the news: Judge April Perry in her oral ruling Thursday, granted Illinois and co-plaintiffs in part, an emergency motion to stop the president from deploying troops, the Chicago Tribune reported.

On the basis of lack of authority and no rebellion in sight.

Some well known legal scholars think that these rulings will be appealed all the way to the US Supreme court.

Which will then allow the Texas National Goons to deploy to fight a nonexistent battle against a nonexistent group known as antifa.

Oblig. at any mention of stephen miller
The ‘uncanny valley’ is the eerie feeling or disgust people experience when encountering an entity that is almost, but not quite, human-like, triggering a sharp dip in positive emotional response and a strong sense of unease or revulsion.

  12. John Morales says

phillipbrown, um, I know you intend well, I know it’s sardonic, but… “an entity that is almost, but not quite, human-like” is dehumanising language. He is human. And, clearly, canny enough.

(Obs, I personally have no prob with it and get your drollishness, but still)

  13. StevoR says

@ ^ John Morales : “He is human.”

    Are we sure?

(We are. Okay then. Yes. Carry on)

Miller is the most utterly evil person in the Trumnp regime – and that’s really saying something.

  14. beholder says

Miller is the most utterly evil person in the Trumnp regime – and that’s really saying something.

It’s a high bar, to be sure, but I believe Marco Rubio is still unsurpassed on that front. Miller’s evil is local in scope, Rubio’s evil has global reach.

  15. lanir says

I had heard some bits and clips of early Stephen Miller. I honestly can’t be arsed to spend another 75-ish minutes to further confirm my already terrible opinion of him though.

As far as I can tell, if Stephen Miller were a character in a silent film (side note: please someone tell him this would make him cool, maybe he’d shut up for a minute) he would be twirling a bad glued on moustache and tying women to train tracks. And with it being October I can’t say for certain that he won’t do either of those. Chicago has a LOT of train tracks.

  16. Doc Bill says

I knew of a kid in our neighborhood that convinced me the “Bad Seed” was a real thing.

The kid was just foul and did foul things, like squeezing a dog turd in his hand then chasing kids on the playground wiping his hand on their clothes. He got expelled from both public and private schools. Last I heard he was homeschooled. They moved some years ago and I haven’t had the interest to find out what institutional facility he resides in.

  17. says

PZ wondered: Why hasn’t the Mainstream Media jumped on how problematic one of the president’s most important advisors is?
I reply: PZ you are so intelligent on so many topics, but, you should already know the ‘mainstream, media’ in this country are limited to what the pablum pushing plutocratic billionaires decree is news!

  18. StevoR says

@17. The bad faith, Trump-aiding troll beholder :

“Miller is the most utterly evil person in the Trump regime – and that’s really saying something.” -StevoR

It’s a high bar, to be sure, but I believe Marco Rubio is still unsurpassed on that front. Miller’s evil is local in scope, Rubio’s evil has global reach.

    (Italics & modified for clarity.)

Yet knowing that Trump would appoint people like Rubio, Miller, JD Vance, ad nauseam you still argued for and, in effect, in reality voted for Trump over Kamala Harris who was the only other real choice.

BTW. In hindsight is it now obvious to you that as we warned you Kamala Harris was by far the better more rational, ethical choice and do you really not see that you have helped Fascism?

It is certainly obvious to me and most everybody else here.

  19. StevoR says

@21. shermanj : What about PBS, Aussie ABC, BBC, SBS, DW News, France24, Al Jazeera and other such sources that NOT owned by billionaires . (Yet.) Do they count as mainstream news?

The above listed sources tend to be my main go-to’s for generally reliable news info.

  20. John Morales says

Ahem, StevoR. “the ‘mainstream, media’ in this country” is what shermanj wrote.

PBS is the only non-USAnian network in your list, that is, ‘in his country’.
‘Aussie ABC, BBC, SBS, DW News, France24, Al Jazeera and other such sources’ are not in his country.

  21. beholder says

    @23

Drop the bullshit, Stevo. Or find yourself an actual Trump supporter to rant and rave at instead.

  22. StevoR says

@ ^ bad faith troll : Its not “bullshit” – it is the reality given that bullshit was what you spread pre-election & you are a de facto in truth Trump enabler.

I guess since you refuse to answer in your cowardice and reality denial; I’ll have to take that as a “no” in response to my question :

Do you, beholder, really not see that you have helped Fascism?

Your failure – or pretended failure – to comprehend what you did and its magnitude and impact on our planet does NOT, of course, make it anything other that what it was.

You, beholder, helped install Trump and Fascism and destroy American Democracy with your constant attacks on the ONLY actual alternative and your vote and advocacy for voting for a Putin shill third party spoiler. That’s fact, easily verifiable by others.

As I’ve informed you previously, no I will not stop reminding people of this holding you accountable and shoving the metaphorical dead albatross of your choosing into your metaphorical nostrils.

  23. StevoR says

@25. John Morales : Okay, fair point. Those other news sites and source are still accessible inside the USoA but still.

  24. beholder says

    @27 StevoR

That I have inadvertently become your obsession of the year doesn’t make your crusade any less bullshit.

no I will not stop reminding people of this

You’re only reminding us that you have an unhealthy obsession. You remind me of Mabus. You’re obviously unwell, and your family hasn’t intervened yet to get you off the internet. I am glad you know nothing about me besides the fact that I live in the United States and my vote for Jill Stein in 2024. If anyone else around here derives entertainment value from you, it is at your expense.

  25. John Morales says

You’re only reminding us that you have an unhealthy obsession.

    Not only that, beholder.

We’re also reminded you make zero attempt to dispute his claims, other than by bombastic bluster.

  26. Silentbob says

    @ Morales

What “claims’ you clown? The claim that people who didn’t vote for fascism are responsible anyway? The claim that people who didn’t vote for Trump “installed Trump” and “destroyed democracy”? Oh, excuse me, “American Democracy” with capital letters, all the better to sound like an unhinged lunatic.

These aren’t “claims”, mate. They’re rantings.

You’re not doing Stevo any favours by egging on his meltdowns.

  27. StevoR says

@ ^ Silentbob : Except de facto votes for fascism also do count as votes for fascism.

There were two choices – ONLY two – for POTUS. One was fascist, the other was not.

Our Trump enabling troll did NOT vote for the only non-fascist option and argued strenuously against the only non-Fascist option.

As asked before -what part of that do YOU not get?

Also holding people responsible for their actions and words is neither a meltdown nor “ranting” – not anything remotely resembling the death threats and literally mentally unwell ravings of Mabus.

  28. StevoR says

PS. Siulentbob & Beholder : your continued failures tohonestly answer actual questions is noted.

  29. StevoR says

@ 31. Silentbob : You want to put this in terms of “claims” huh?

Okay then, have the decency to engage honestly here. These are my claims:

    A. The USoA is a two party system where last year either Kamala Harris who is NOT fascist or Donald Trump who is Fascist was going to become POTUS.

Is this claim true or false? Do you understand that this was the reality and if not, why not?

    B. Beholder on this blog (& probly elsewhere) strenuously argued against Kamala Harris and argued against voting for her and did not vote for her or unify behind her in order to stop Trump’s fascism for seizing unchecked power.

Is this claim true or false? Do you understand that this was the reality and, if not, why not?

    C. Therefore given the alternative was Trump, beholder helped put Trump’s fascists in power through their arguing and voting against the only alternative to Trumpthat was an actual alternative rtaher than an realistic spoiler that COULD not win.

Is this claim true or false? Do you understand that this was the reality and if not, why not?

Now answer me this Silentbob, these claims aren’t new or anything I didn’t argue pre-election. I do think people should face accountability for their actions and face up to what they did.

So, yet again, what part of the above do you fail to comprehend exactly and why? What do you think should be done about those who failed such a basic test of ethics and political wisdom especially after they were repeatedly warned? Why do you keep defending such Unicorn-only-will-do-insisters & Bothsiderists when we have seen repeatedly (2016 as well as last year) the consequences of such people’s actions.

Now let me guess; you are probly going to be too much of a coward and metaphorical weasel to actually bloody answer these very simple questions given your past record of being too much of a bloody coward and metaphorical weasel to actually answer those direct and simple questions.

This is entirely justified frustration and anger on my part I think as well as sound logic and reason and a statement of reality.

What I would also like to see is that beholder learns something and reflects on their conduct and faces that truth and apologises and changes their views and behaviour.

PS. I have also previously noted beholder’s frequent suspicious & deceptive attacks on Blue states and other things that give us good reason to believe they are a troll and disingenuous in their comments here.

  30. StevoR says

It occurs to me that constant references to President Miller and his obvious shadow puppetry of that meat puppet and senile klown Trump might be just what is really needed to help stop Shadow POTUS Stephen Miller if that demented old puppet Trump can be made aware enough of them & have his ego upset enough by them. Maybe?

If anyone has any journo friends with access please make sure they do ask Trumpabout Miller’s hand up his .. muppet puppet & control over him. That might actually help.

  31. says

I watched almost all of that (was getting nauseous near the end) If the presenter hadn’t had such factual support for what he said, it would be hard to believe smiller could be such an evil, fascist, hateful excuse for a human.

  32. Rob Grigjanis says

Silentbob @31: You’ve already demonstrated your utter incompetence at mathematics (despite your waxing lyrical about calculus, etc recently; LOL). So I’ll try and use short words in the following.

I live in a riding (in Canada) which has strong Conservative and Liberal support, but very weak support for the NDP, which is my favoured party. I have no great love for the Liberals, but they are preferable (by a country mile) to the Tories. So I’ve been voting Liberal in the last few elections (provincial and federal). That’s because a vote for the NDP in this riding is essentially a lost vote; it helps the Conservatives. Have I lost you yet?

So, do I blame NDP supporters in my riding for voting NDP? Yes, absolutely. If their votes result in a Conservative winning (and it’s been close), then fuck them. Conservative supporters don’t know any better. NDP supporters should.
