As great as he was in Blade Runner, I still remember and cherish his performances in Ladyhawk and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Ladyhawke was great.
Granted, I also liked him in Split Second, which took itself rather less seriously. He did a good ‘knows too much’ combined with ‘only sane man’.

Since all the news outlets seem to have forgotten or overlooked it, I was going to pop in here to remind people of Ladyhawke. It’s nice to see that’s not necessary. RIP, Navarre.

It’s not easy being a dolphin.
(OK, you may not get the reference if you’re not British…)

The Hitcher was my first introduction to his work in my local cinema followed by Ladyhawke on laserdisc no less (not seeing Blade Runner until many years later). Class act.

Time passes; for those who saw Blade Runner when it first came out:- in November this year it becomes set in the past.

Holy crap, you’re right. On the plus side, the present world isn’t quite so dystopian. Then again, as someone who saw it in the theater… damn that makes me feel old.

You guys do know he was Dutch, don’t you? In his native country he was world-famous long before 1980.
