@3 No, it’s not, there are very few “lethal” Australian spiders, and a miniscule number of fatalities from the ones that are. Spiders are a vital part of every ecosystem, and media-encouraged arachnophobia causing people to kill every spider they see on sight is really not a good thing.
To those saying this is “ridiculous”, it happened in Australia, where EVERYTHING can kill you. It seems a perfectly reasonable response to something that has invaded your home and will not fucking DIE.
Thank you, passer-by for doing the right thing and calling the police. I’m sure everybody is glad that it turned out to be about a big spider (except for the spider), but I’m very glad you did what you did.

This is Australia – its almost certainly lethal, even if it just caves your car in when you try and run it over.

This is what the home invader looked like. You could try breeding them as a research animal instead of the midgets you are working on but you will need a much bigger lab. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/huge-huntsman-spider-handed-in-at-australian-reptile-park-is-countrys-biggest-a3471931.html
