It’s a war over education

Keep this in mind when you see so-called intellectuals like the gang at PragerU, or Jordan Peterson, or just about any Republican, demonizing universities as the domain of cultural Marxists with entire disciplines in the humanities and social sciences that need to be razed to the ground. They’re not stupid. They know exactly what they’re doing. Wrecking the electorate’s ability to think and process information is what keeps them rich and in power.

Here in Canada, Doug Ford, a Trump wannabe, was elected as the premier of Ontario. Some of the first things he did was to start dismantling education, and replacing it with cheap beer. Apparently uneducated drunk people vote conservative…

I am sure that India and China, and Canada are happy to see the USA destroying its educational system.

We can only hope that Ford is a fart.

    India & China? Maybe.

Us here in Soviet Canuckistan, not so much … you probably would remember something a former Prime Minister said about our relationship with the U.S. (but many of our international friends might not, so I quote it in full here):

Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt.

These days, I feel like the elephant has some horrible flesh-eating disease eating away at its insides, and if it blows up, we all get splattered.

Important question: does the lead time for the benefits of an improved educational system fall within the time available to take effective and meaningful action on our most pressing issues?
