It’s horrifying, really: Such an innocuous, happy picture. And some fucking extremists will take it as a call for murder. Incredibly brave, indeed.

Those are some brave people. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to risk my life by joining a cause.

VERY brave people, AND gender parity! That’s fantastic and wonderful!

This does worry me. The track record of religious extremists, (in the murders of humanists in that part of the world), is horrifying. I hope that they all keep safe.

  5. F.O. says

I don’t think I’d have the courage they show.
    Respect.

Nthing the comments about how courageous these folks are. In a country with so many freethinkers/atheists/secularists being killed, this is a supremely courageous political act of defiance.

As has already been noted, there are at least as many women as men in this picture, much as many of the earlier atheist leaders in the US were women. I expect once it’s safe and socially acceptable, the guys will move in and explain how only men can be true atheists.

These people could find better uses of there time than to advertise their skepticism. Also, the linked web site won’t be on-line for another three days.

Horrific and completely unsurprising. Fuck the Bangladeshi government.

    Shut the fuck up.
