Mooney gets written up in the Las Vegas Sun. Here’s what I get in the same article:
Friday’s panel included a Minnesota biology professor…
Yeah, that’s it.
Someday, I will be famous enough to warrant actually mentioning my name! They’ll misspell it, but still…
PZ, you need to finish up that book you’ve been working on and publish it.
Once you’re a best-selling author of a sciency book aimed at the general public you will be mentioned by name in newspaper articles!
Mooney was good. But I came to the panel to hear your words of wisdom.
Gosh, not even the respect of saying: “a preeminent professor from the University of Minnesota Morris…”
Don’t look now PZ, but General Wes Clark’s latest Kos diary is giving you props not only by name, but by your proper title. =)
Who cares about Mooney? You’ve got the General on your side. ;)
Well, I guess that’s one benefit of using your initials instead of your full name; even our current media are unlikely to misspell “PZ”.
You know it’s just because you’re from the Flyover, right? All they had to see was Minnesota, and that was the end of it. No one important has ever come from Minnesota.
(Tongue gripped firmly in cheek…)
They wouldn’t misspell you name Meyers.
I think you will all be shocked to learn that P.Z. is very introverted. He gave a good speech, but Mooney was really awesome.
