The Patti Smith cover of My Generation is better than the original (the whole ablum http://amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BKDOB6/pharyngula-20 is great. Other covers, better than the original: Patti Smith’s Gloria; Lemonheads, Mrs. Robinson; The Cowboy Junkies, Sweet Jane; Urge Overkill, Girl, You’ll be a Woman Soon; Cake, I Will Survive (and I do like their cover of Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps.) Time to hit the tunes.

The P.J. Harvey / Nick Cave collaboration isn’t as surprising as the Nick Cave / Kylie Minogue duet off the same album. Brilliant, though. Love that song.

Ghost Riders On The Storm is an interesting hybrid of both Ghost Riders in the Sky and Riders on the Storm. It actually works.
