    Wow, thanks everyone. This is probably the best Christmas gift I got this year, except for the healthy dose of godless sanity from all of you. It’s hard to exaggerate how much I appreciate the Pharyngula horde. We have our differences, but it’s nice not to feel like one is alone in the world. This place is a nice little refuge from all the hate and ignorance.

    I’ll vote for Rey Fox and feralboy12, for wielding wit and wisdom, and because I just like the cut of their jibs.

    I’ve liked Giliell for some time now…, but I’m going to have to split my vote with Rey Fox, who also contributes wonderfully.

    Giliell is not as prolific as some, but is never far from the interesting topics & always has something of actual value to contribute. Although sometimes, it is true, she throws out some vicious insults, I’ve never found them to be gratuitous: like so many of the best Pharyngulites, she makes her insults a feature, not a bug. They are the raisins in the challa of her rich, feminist, skeptical atheism.

    I’m not sure when I first noticed the name of Rey Fox, but it was before I started commenting. At Pharyngula, there have been many people that have come & many of those I’ve watched go. Very often there are people that make deliciously wonderful points here or there, but (as may be true of myself, occasionally) sometimes go off on a tangent that is truly unhelpful. I can’t remember Rey Fox ever doing so. Consistent contribution, an underappreciated virtue IMNSHO, is what earns Rey Fox my vote this month. Though I admit it helped that those contributions often take the form of a humorous turn of phrase that will make me giggle in the midst of a frustratingly trollish thread.
