    Aww! Great job, consciousness razor!

I’m half voting for feralboy12: one vote for what Caine said, and a petulant zero votes for possibly being funnier than me. Average those out and there you go.

Now, for my second half vote (everyone knows I’m a Gemini, right?), I’m nominating Jemima Cole, in case KG doesn’t get around to it. Read the “Why I am an atheist—Jemima Cole” comments for why.

    ****confetti****
feralboy12 for whatever month we’re nominating for.
(here’s an extra for for whatever)

  3. 'Tis Himself, OM says

Congratulations, consciousness razor. A well-deserved Molly.

I nominate Irene Delse because she makes me think and laugh, often simultaneously.

  4. Tethys says

Congratulations to consciousness razor! Check your USB for celebratory cake and beverages.

I vote Rey Fox for January. Comic relief is a valuable asset.

    CongaRats, Consciousness Razor!

I’m going to think on this a bit. I was pretty busy and distracted this month, but I’ll vote for someone…

I’m voting for FERALBOY12 again. ‘Cos anyone that brings the funny is a-okay in my book. :)

  7. F says

    Excellent! Well deserved, Consciousness Razor.

feralboy12 is a fantastic candidate. Gets my vote, due to hilarious wisdom.

  8. John Morales says

    Grats to Consciousness Razor.

I’ll OMnom Giliell for January — her snark can be a joy to read.

Also a shout-out for Irene Delse (note she too features in my above-linked thread).

  9. Private Ogvorbis, OM says

    Congrats, CR.

    I nominate feralboy12.

(I’ve been going on and on on some other comments, so I figured I would keep this one short. )

  10. David Marjanović says

    feralboy12
    Giliell
    Irene Delse

Jemima Cole has been almost absent except in that one thread.

  11. cicely (Vitamin Fortified!) says

    Congrats, consciousness razor!

And add my vote for feralboy12 to the growing pile.

Wow, thanks everyone. This is probably the best Christmas gift I got this year, except for the healthy dose of godless sanity from all of you. It’s hard to exaggerate how much I appreciate the Pharyngula horde. We have our differences, but it’s nice not to feel like one is alone in the world. This place is a nice little refuge from all the hate and ignorance.

I’ll vote for Rey Fox and feralboy12, for wielding wit and wisdom, and because I just like the cut of their jibs.

I’ve liked Giliell for some time now…, but I’m going to have to split my vote with Rey Fox, who also contributes wonderfully.

Giliell is not as prolific as some, but is never far from the interesting topics & always has something of actual value to contribute. Although sometimes, it is true, she throws out some vicious insults, I’ve never found them to be gratuitous: like so many of the best Pharyngulites, she makes her insults a feature, not a bug. They are the raisins in the challa of her rich, feminist, skeptical atheism.

I’m not sure when I first noticed the name of Rey Fox, but it was before I started commenting. At Pharyngula, there have been many people that have come & many of those I’ve watched go. Very often there are people that make deliciously wonderful points here or there, but (as may be true of myself, occasionally) sometimes go off on a tangent that is truly unhelpful. I can’t remember Rey Fox ever doing so. Consistent contribution, an underappreciated virtue IMNSHO, is what earns Rey Fox my vote this month. Though I admit it helped that those contributions often take the form of a humorous turn of phrase that will make me giggle in the midst of a frustratingly trollish thread.
