This clip that I showed some time ago illustrates why Time magazine’s choice of Mark Zuckerberg as its Person of the Year is completely appropriate considering its audience.
I remember the debate on board the USS Bainbridge back in the ’70s between those of us who subscribed to Time because we were interested in real news (a scarce commodity when you’re cruising the Western Pacific) and those who subscribed to Newsweek because it had a breezier style and covered much more of the pop culture scene.
I shudder to think what Newsweek must look like these days.
