Today is our 46th wedding anniversary. I have no idea why she agreed to it in the first place.
No celebration today. We’re both just going to work, she won’t get home until 11pm, we don’t even have dinner plans.

46? Poof, wait till you hit 56 like me. But congrats to both of the young couple!
I couldn’t find a single word to say, so here…good wishes, best wishes, greetings, compliments, felicitations, praises, commendations, applause, salutes, honor, acclaim, tribute, cheers, ovation, accolade, plaudits, felicitations, admiration, approbation, compliments, adulation, homage, encomium, panegyric, bouquets, laurels, testimonials…and a pat on the back.
We hit forty this year, at least forty years of being together, we didn’t get married until sometime in the 2000’s, don’t recall when as we did for the legal stuff like being next of kin rather than any romantic reason so it isn’t important to us in the way our getting together is. We go on holiday somewhere in the UK every January to celebrate. It’s good. And I’m glad it’s good for you and Mary!

I agree with you totally. We just celebrated 51 years of being together on March 3. It’s special to us.
We will celebrate our “legal” 50th anniversary in October of this year, by going to the Hale Koa in Hawaii.

Aw, happy anniversary, you crazy kids. Do something nice for one another. It’s sweet and appropriate to acknowledge what you’ve built together. And so many, many people don’t make it that long — you’re fortunate to have found one another. Congratulations.
