Yesterday, I took advantage of the university health clinic to get both my flu shot and my COVID shot. The important part is that I got my sticker.
Today, my right arm (flu shot) is fine, but my left (COVID) hurts like heck, and I’m feeling a general malaise…but it’s not as bad as previous COVID vaccinations. Maybe my body is getting accustomed to them. It’s still going to be a good day to take it easy.

There’s a song for this of c
Eagles – Take it Easy (Official Audio) – 3 mins 33 secs.
Good sense move PZ. We had appointments and went last week to get nexspike and fluzone at a walgreens. The problem was that they were terribly understaffed and RAN OUT OF THE VACCINES WE WANTED. We got spikevax (which should be almost as good as nexspike) and some other high dose flu vaccine.
With all the shortages of necessary products and staffing everywhere, here we go, roadkill f&cking Kennedy pushing us all further down the DEATH SPIRAL
A little over a month ago I got my flu and COVID shots at a pharmacy under my health plan. Since I’m under 65 I had to take advantage of being a “former smoker” to get the COVID shot. I got the Pfizer this time around and it didn’t hit me quite as hard as Moderna had in the past.
HAH! I got both shots about a month ago and I got to pick two suckers from a little plastic bucket next to the door.
Because I have autoimmune issues, it’s recommended that I get them 2 weeks apart.
We got our flu shots in early September, then the COVID vaccine two weeks later.
We wanted to be prepared before flying to Denver, where we would be exposed to the dreaded teenagers! (LOL)
Since then, we’ve traveled to a reunion in the St. Louis area. Neither of us have had even a sniffle!
If our flight doesn’t get canceled, we’ll soon be off to Seattle, to see more grandkids.
LOL.
I got my Covid-19 virus vaccine two days ago.
This was my 6th one.
There were no significant reactions to the first 4.
This time, that night and the next day were minor fever and general malaise.
Worth it.
Don’t you realize that Covid vaccine will make you sterile. As a sixty something year old man you should be taking this seriously /s.
I wasn’t able to receive the COVID shot from either the pharmacy or my primary care doctor. I’m under 65 but overweight but I guess that’s not enough to qualify for it.
Got booster number 9 and my flu shot in June. No problems I turned down the shingles vaccine even though I’ve had a particular nasty bout of it which began in my mouth. Felt like every tooth in my left jaw was infected and my tongue no longer fitted in my mouth. Also knocked back the pertussis shot because I had only just finished a two week hospital stay when I caught it.
Seriously get vaccinated if you can. I wouldn’t wish either of them on my worst enemy. The shots are on my list for the next GP visit.
Booster number 5 dammit. I’m not that much in love with getting poked with needles.
I did fine with the vaccinations. My malaise has resulted from getting injected with the news several times a day for a year now, which is leaving my arm — or at least my trackball hand — pretty sore.
