Oh, and speaking of ranting about nature

I mentioned in passing a while back that I moved my other blog Coyote Crossing to a brand new home. What I didn’t mention was that said move is part of plans to slowly put together a biodiversity-preservation-oriented blog network, inspired in no small part by the wonderful community at FTB, called Coyot.es Network. In addition to my joint, we’ve also got Madhu Katti moved in with his blog Reconciliation Ecology and Mojave Desert protection blogger Shaun G. (best known for the Mojave Desert Blog) with his new,  more general blog The ‘Not Essential’ List, and though hordeling Ron Sullivan’s taking a short break from writing aside from for money, her blog Toad In The Hole is there relaxing comfortably until she feels like writing there. We’ve got a couple other experienced bloggers strongly considering joining up, and coming soon, a new mystery blog by a couple of desert herpetologists which is simply awaiting a first post.

And as we’ve got the biggest of the new site bugs worked out, we’re interested in hearing from biodiversity, wildlife, natural resources, and other related issue bloggers who might be interested in coming aboard. If that sounds like you, check out the  about page and FAQ  and if you’re interested in exploring the notion more deeply, get in touch.

Nature sure is wonderful. Looking forward to reading more about this. Wishing you all the best and hoping this becomes a great success Chris Clarke.

Australian is fine. Pretty much any English-language blogger is fine, and that’s not to imply we wouldn’t welcome someone non-English speaking — the simpatico determination might be a bit harder if it’s a language no Coyot.es Network blogger speaks/reads, but that’s not an insurmountable problem.

When I see .es, I think a domain in Spain.

That is the most interesting thing I’ve learned all week! To tell you the truth, I’ve never thought about how accurate the sounds I hear on TV or in movies are…. Now I’ve got something else to fret about.

Oh, yeah, by the way, I’m absolutely terrified of butterflies (no, I don’t know why), so the picture of one swooping away a toddler is far, far scarier to me than pretty much anything else you could’ve substituted for a bird!

    Very cool.

TLDs are largely irrelevant as descriptors, even if they are nominally ccTLDs. Also, the best TLD, .cat, is also “in” Spain.

So if I understand you correctly, you’re saying a domain in Spain is mainly not germane?

I find the .tv to be the most “abused” TLD. I’d imagine that most .tv domains are not, in fact, based out of Tuvalu

On topic: Coyot.es Ctrl+D! Looking forward to it
