Never read the youtube comments!

Unless, of course, it’s a dramatic reading. (Totally not safe for work, obviously.)

No! I should have spelled it CUNTsensus! Why am I always five seconds late to the genius train?

Maybe this isn’t my favorite dramatic reading of youtube comments, but I did laugh out loud at several points, so good job, everyone.

Youtube comments < cnn comments < Pharyngula comments < random guy off the street opinion

What’s this endless fascination with the c word. Is it like Ted Nugent’s obsessive compulsiveness about guns?

    I had never seen those.
    Thank you so much.
(I think I may have torn something with the laughing)

right up there with aol/huffington post comments maybe a little less sexual insults but on-par with intelligence (at least 50% fertilizer and 30% weed killer)

PZ is adorably cutely awesome. He thinks most of his readers are full time workers works in office space.
I wouldn’t put the median age more than 21.

  7. throwaway says

What is it like knowing that the median age anywhere will always be higher than the number of people who wish to associate with you, atheistblog, perpetual asshat?

  8. Rey Fox says

Hey atheistblog, where is your atheist blog? You don’t have a link in your nym. I bet it’s really well written and well thought-out.

And that’s why I’m a little annoyed at the OED for deciding that they needed to put four different extra versions of the word in the dictionary.

In a similar vein, the comedian Stewart Lee reading his internet comments on YouTube is pretty damn funny. I spat my food over my computer I laughed so much.

    I’m with Rey Fox.
Where is the adorably cutely awesome blog?

And yet those unemployed children helped raise over $30,000 in less than 6 hours. Not too shabby!

(I’m a retiree, in case anyone is keeping track of demographics.)

    :D

  13. says

Atheistblog is also factually wrong. The last time anyone did a demographic analysis (which was when I was on Sb), the readership here skewed a bit older than average.

When I was 21, I was a full time worker in an office space. I’m not sure I see how statement relates to the other? I’m also not sure how the median tells us anything about where most of us are, since the median of {20,21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 66, 6346098234594987345, 234346539847105987609234987193875394875} is 21. Did you mean the mean age?

  15. carlie says

When I was 21, I was in graduate school. Sorry to burst your bubble there, atheistblog.

Yep, you and PZ have differing opinions on the demographics of the Pharyngula community. That’s the result of deep ignorance.
Good of you to bring that to light.

…oh, wait, you were trying to show PZ was the ignorant one!
Wow, talk about an unrealized own goal!
