Awww, you folks. I had to go collect my thoughts a bit.

This place is full of so many smart, sharp, opinionated people who are brave enough to put their selves and stories on the line along with their arguments. I admire many of you and aspire to be as valiant and incisive as you show yourselves to be, and to learn from your collective wisdom (and from your screw-ups as well as mine!) I’m not much for formal recognition, but I can’t tell y’all how important it is to have (unavoidable) evidence that my funny-spelled nym has earned your respect. Thanks.

(Plus, bonus gendered pronoun! Rather than rolling on wiki’s gender-neutral-pronouns list, PZ, may I ask that my entry get edited to ‘om’? For this week at least I’ll be pleased to be Omself.)

Nominations: most of the folks I admire have OMs already. The description says “one of their own as the best and most interesting and most deserving of acknowledgment.” So I did some research into April, and here’s my whole slate of folks to nominate:

Just_A_Lurker, bright sharp shining whenever she appears, with tremendous clarity of voice and emotion.

Giliell, who’s not only a friendly compassionate presence on TET but kicks much butt of the bad-faithful all over FTB.

dianne, who’s been bringing the heavy-duty medical knowledge to War-on-Women discussions with clear and considered explanation – and often well-deserved sardonicism.
