That’s the current vent in Halemaʻumaʻu crater, which is in Kilauea Caldera (Big Island, Hawaii).
That vent feeds down to Pu’u ‘O’o (an older but always active vent) and then down to the ocean – where it is currently quite spectacular (surface flows and ocean entry).
One of our houses is just 1/4 mile from Halema’uma’u crater (we are just outside the National Park border) – so we can see the glow at night from our house.
