In college, I took glass blowing to fulfill my fine arts requirement. Some of the colours we used on the blown glass were browns and dull golds. But, when you reduced the colours in the furnace (by turning off the air intake? I think?), they became metallic greens and golds and bronzes and all kinds of different sniny colours. Just like the colours on the cephalopoo in this photograph.

Er, ‘cephalopoo’ should have a ‘d’ in place of the last ‘o’.

Soooo.. Great Cthulhu will starve when the stars are right and he awakens to batten on the souls of humanity?
At least we have noodles. He’ll make do I’m sure.

This is why I blame PZ for the dream I had last night in which I suddenly inherited a pet squid. I remember it laying on my shoulder, being all squidly and wiggly while I tried to find something to put it in.

…That does not explain the baboons in the yard. I don’t know who to pin that one on.

He might be looking for my soul and seeing nothing wherever he thinks it might be, but he is not looking into my soul and seeing nothing. Unless of course his self delusion includes hallucinations.

I sold my soul years ago. In hindsight, that may have been a mistake because that squid makes me feel warm and squishy inside.

It isn’t fair he(she) doesn’t have a blind spot as I do in my eye, which only adds to my inferiority complex. Perhaps a result of my blind spot, I do not see how this is helping you with tenure. U of M President Eric Kaler has revised the tenure code in 2007 “to include tech transfer activities as part of tenure criteria satisfaction.” The reference is to Kaler’s speech of Oct. I, 2012 given at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Seriously, how are you biologist faring in the U of M Industrial University Complex?
