Oh, boy, a book!

Good news everybody! That kickstarter project I plugged to produce an an atheist book, A Better Life, has been funded. Anticipate an opportunity to adorn your coffeetable with something lovely sometime in the future.

    That’s great news!

I don’t quite understand this whole “the entire thing must be funded by such-and-such a date or else it’s kaput”, but that’s why I do what I do and have never owned a car less than a decade old, I guess.

The $10,000 matching donation offer in the last few days of the project really saved it. When I donated, the project was about $15K short with a little more than 2 days left. I’m really glad they were able to make it by the deadline.

Brownian: Kickstarter sets it up that way so that if the person raising funds doesn’t reach their goal, then no one who has pledged up to that point is charged for their pledge, which would be wrong to do if the money raised isn’t actually enough to meet the funding needs.
