That’s an awesome tree!. On the other, completely unrelated matter. Cracked.com is talking about atheists and believers again http://www.cracked.com/blog/4-things-both-atheists-believers-need-to-stop-saying_p1/

OH MY! you used the “C” word. Now all our efforts are for naught.
Best wishes for a great weekend – whatever anyone wants to call it.

I laughed my head off at the domain name in the watermark.
I can imagine one of the tentacles at the bottom of the tree beckoning malevolently to the household cat. “C’meeeeerrre, kitty, wanna try to bat this around?”

Yeah, but then you wake up on Xmas morning to find all the gifts half-eaten with suspicious circle-shaped marks on the remains.

If I had that tree in the house I’d sleep with a loaded shotgun on the bed. Just in case.

Not sure I want the tree itself to be a consumer, especially one looking so greedy.

Ooh! Want!
How convenient for when the time comes to be eaten–right there in your living room!

The Squidmas Kelp is lovely.
May the sun where you are (when in cold parts of the world) continue to not get eaten by wolves, and may your brow (when in hot parts of the world) not be eaten by scorpions (or, presumably, cephalopods (if under water), or Cthulhu (anywhere)).

Happy Holidays P.Z.
Now I have a dilemma…A Doctor Who themed tree or a Cthulhu tree?
At least I have a year to work it out!

O Yog Suthoth, the stars have ceased their shining
It is the night of our dear Cthulhu’s birth
Long boiled he the sea,
For sin and slaughter pining
Til He was feared and the squid felt it’s worth
A tentacles grope the weary world rejoices
Yonder breaks a new and terrorous morn
Watch the angels flee, with terror in their voices
O night divine!
O night when Cthulhu’s born
O night divine!
O night, O endless night
Behold the end of time !
Speak not Cthulhu’s name, lest all existence shall cease
And dark hymns of blood in grateful chorus rise
Let all left alive rejoice they live to fear thee
And give praise to thy slime dripping sword
O sever the knees of those who flee our master
Cthulhu Abhorr’d!
