Elizabeth Warren on The Daily Show

The candidate for US Senate from Massachusetts seems to have passion and a willingness to take on the big financial interests that are working against the poor and the middle class. While the US Senate has become a largely ineffective body, she may still be able to use it as a platform to articulate a point of view that is currently with little voice in Congress.

Of course, I have been disillusioned before by many candidates who speak powerfully when running for office and then almost immediately renege on their promises once elected. Perhaps the fact that she is older and thus more secure in her values and thinking may prevent her from being subverted.

From what little I’ve seen of her, Elizabeth Warren has impressed me as a very sincere friend of the middle class. I hope she wins the Senate seat and goes on to run for President in 2016 (or 2020)

Thank you for the clips. I am sorry that I’m not from Massachusetts and won’t be able to vote for Elizabeth.
