    I’ve heard the argument that misogyny is based in “womb envy” since I was young but I never gave it much credence. I mean, as a “uterus-possesser” (can’t stand the word womb) I couldn’t imagine what all the fuss would be about.

    On the other hand… I don’t know but it’s starting to make sense to me. Men can’t reproduce without us and while we need you for the impregnation, frankly, you can be pretty superfluous afterwards. Plus, you don’t really know the kid is your baby, the way the woman who just pushed it out of her vagina really knows it’s her baby.

    Yup, I’m slowly being won over to the “womb-envy” side of the question: What’s wrong with women?

    Look, I’ll admit the Athosians are pretty weird and undoubtedly misogynistic, but they’re not a tenth and bad as the MRAs and gun nuts, and that’s a really unfair comparison.

    Most of the Athosians weren’t angry, though the white might be there, but I believe they were introducing more colour variety for the next set of generations.

    And at least their misogyny for the most part didn’t negatively affect many women.
