Have you heard the Good News?

Preach to the kids, the younger the better, a time proven method of indoctrination used by the Good News Club for children. The only good news is there are some people on both the skeptical and faithful side who understand the danger inherent in a state religion. They’re scattered like diamonds in the rough throughout this video clip. H/T VegasJessie.

I had just taken a shower before watching that video. Now I feel like I need another one.

What struck me the most is how none of them had an answer to the question about the rights of any parents who might wish to raise their children in another faith or no faith. It’s like that thought had never occurred them. These people are scary true believers. In another century, they would have been using the rack instead of pamphlets to recruit new members.

I do agree with the one guy who said there’s an effort to rewrite America history. He’s just wrong about who is doing the rewriting. They really, really believe that all of the Founding Fathers were evangelical Christians like they are. That’s complete nonsense. Even the ones that were Christian were not evangelicals and all of them were secularists who wanted to keep religion and government separated.

I don’t even want to get into the smug ignorance of those homeschooled twits who dismiss evolution without knowing the first thing about it.

The god-botherers have been preaching that message for thousands of years. They’ll still be doing it in thousands of years from now.

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

They’ll never stop because it works so well.
