Talk about self serving BS

Please. Just stop. It’s bad enough when some random elitist self entitled dumbass plays the “I never wanted to be President, it’s the last thing I wanted, but the People drafted me and America needed me! I couldn’t tell my countrymen no!”

.:Eye/roll:. Ay-yi-yi. Mittens actually let his elder spawn shit out that hilarious whopper:

The Grio — In a surprisingly candid new interview, Mitt Romney’s oldest son Tagg revealed that this father “had no desire” to run for president in 2012.

“If he could have found someone else to take his place … he would have been ecstatic to step aside. He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them, but he has deep faith in God and he loves his country, but he doesn’t love the attention,” Tagg told the Boston Globe in a behind-the-scenes look at the loss of the Romney 2012 campaign.

Despite aggressively running arguably the most costly campaign in American history, Tagg Romney claims that his father “wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life.”

Nothing against The Grio, great writers, great progressives, the original story ran in the Boston Globe and the Grio harpoons it properly. But please, if another journalist repeats this nonsense without qualifications just put the fourth estate out of its two-headed freakish misery.

Mitt Romney wanted to be President more than just about anyone in the 21st century and possibly for the entire post Cold War era. Everything he did for the last decade and a half has been vertically integrated into the singular goal of being President; it is documented, it is on video and in print. He was convinced Mormon Jesus wanted him to be President, that the country had to have him as President, he ran a scorched earth primary campaign to win the GOP nom for President, he spent gads of his own money to be President, and when he found out he wasn’t going to win, he and his entire inner circle had a near meltdown fueled by disbelief and fury that Mitt Romney wasn’t going to be President.

Why Mittens, a junior billionaire, would choose this over kicking back and enjoying the freedom and luxury and dream making that only those lucky few in the tippy-top of the global wealth pyramid can afford is a topic for present day psychologists and future historians. It suggests he didn’t choose, that he was driven, compulsive, perhaps even obsessed. But want it he did with every fiber in his well intentioned if profoundly misinformed being, Romney yearned so deeply to be President, with such pure unadulterated burning ambition, without cause or direction in the event he actually won, that it creeped me and a bunch of other people right the fuck out just thinking about it.

Tagg either needs to get out and meet some people who really don’t want to be President, of whom there are a’plenty, or he’s just following in daddy’s footsteps and lying his ass off. I’ll take the latter three-to-one.

There is one thing that I can believe in Tagg’s statement: That Mitt Romney is a private person. In the summer of 2007 my daughter was working in the Red Cross First Aid tent at the Iowa State fair. There was a lot of commotion outside and one Mitt Romney steps into the tent with a very frazzled appearance and asks if there was a private spot where he could decompress – handling the crowd was getting to be too much. So he got shunted back to a secluded area and spent a few minutes there before he left with his handlers into a dispersing crowd.

A shark has to keep swimming – they’re denser than water so they’ll sink if they stop still and forward motion is the only thing that keeps water flowing over their gills …

The unbelievably horribly run campaign looked like he wasn’t trying to win. So either he just knew he was destined to be President and it would be handed to him or he didn’t want to be the Pres and was too polite to say no when he was nominated after months of primary campaigning. Option three: Romneys lie.

You have to wonder about the circles in which Tagg has moved since birth. My dad established a colony on Mars to avaoid being President of the US, but they just kept dragging him back in.

Romneyland would probably not have blackjack and hookers. It would probably look more like Branson, MO, ie, Las Vegas if it were run by Ned Flanders.

This was on MSNBC last night. I reflected on why a person would run for the highest office in the land when, admittedly, or allegedly, they really didn’t want the job. The first thing that I thought was

CROCK O’ SHIT — SOUR GRAPES — JUST SAYIN’ — DREAM WEAVER — YA’LL FELL FOR THAT?

and some other things that don’t reflect well on the erstwhile candidate o’ dog. If Mitty boy ever, I mean EVER, goes for a public office let’s pounce and pounce good. Nail his lying ass to the barn door. Like a coyote’s hide.

(apologies for the caps but in some cases they are necessary)
