Glenn Beck: God told me to leave Fox News

That’s Glenn Beck’s crazy claim, that God-eh spoke to him through his luxury high rise window and warned him about Fox News:

(UT San Deigo) — On the day he decided to leave, Beck said he walked up to a floor-to-ceiling window in his New York apartment and asked his wife, “How could this possibly be God’s plan?”

“As I stood there, the Lord whispered to me, ‘If you do not leave now, you will lose your soul,’” Beck said. “It was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”

Although Beck has largely receded from the mainstream, he remains an influential figure with more than 10 million weekly radio listeners.

Sure He did Glenn, sure He did.

Better yet, from comments: “That working with Fox would steal a person’s soul strikes me as the most plausible prophecy anyone has yet claimed!”

It’s interesting how God told Beck to leave Fox after Beck was told “quit or be fired”.

What if it’s a listserve error? Newt/Frothy/Cain are supposed to leave Fox, and BECK was the one who should’ve run for President.

    THAT explains EVERYTHING!

So, Rupert Murdoch is forcing Fox employees to call him God now? Interesting.

Rupert is, after all, omniscient and omnipresent. Which is to say, he’s listening to your cell phone.

What’s the deal with the whole “God-eh” thing? I don’t get the refrence. FWIW, never seen Glenn Beck’s show and know of him only from what I’ve heard and read in the media and on blogs like this one.

If what I’ve heard about Glenn Beck is true then the thought of him becoming POTUS is pretty much as scary as Sarah Palin getting that job would be or even worse. Yikes! Reckon he’ll end up as Mittens Rmoney’s running mate maybe? :-o

Nah, God’s been saying he’s wants to be called Rupert Murdoch!

StevoR, there’s a method of speaking employed by preachers who have to be heard clearly by their whole congregation. They accentuate certain consonants at the ends of words by adding little vowels to them, but not quite to the same extent as a native Italian speaker might want to do. There’s a preacher on the Simpsons who does that, but he’s a cartoon.

Let me see if I can find a YouTube video that illustrates what I mean. … Oh, the YouTubeFu is strong with this one.

A sobering thought being most of his fans will believe the cretin wholeheartedly.

Their god speaks to them as well you see, especially when they need a handy convenient excuse that no one will question!
Most GOP minded wingers do…that is why they are the natural fleas & ticks that burrow under the thick and slimy skin of the xian right.

They are symbiotic and suck each others toxic blood, unfortunately daylight does not kill them quite as readily as reality, so they have built a rickety shield to deflect reality as best as it can.
Critters of the dark call it righteousness…but actually it is a poorly disguised ignorance masquerading as bigotry, idiocy and hatred.
