Wonders of the Universe!

Scientists say:

Asteroid Toutatis will not hit Earth. The 4 3-km long asteroid circles the sun in an orbit that is very closely aligned with Earth’s, making it a potentially hazardous object for the future. The asteroid will pass about 7 million km from Earth, about 18 times farther away than the moon. A large asteroid that flies in nearly the same orbit as Earth will make a close pass by the planet, but there’s no chance of an impact – at least for hundreds of years.

We should not get worried. We will not die out so soon. We will get some more time to know more about our magnificent Universe.

Don’t die dear doomsday dudes!

NASA is now educating the shitheads who believe the world will end on December 21, 2012. It looks like a canon is hired to kill a little mosquito. NASA should remain busy with our vast universe. Sane people have been working hard to make the shitheads understand that the world will not end in 2012 and they should better believe in science, rather than superstitions. If the shitheads haven’t got it yet, I am afraid they will not get it even if NASA begs them to get it.
Will the doomsday believers commit mass suicide around December 21? It will be painful to witness such a tragedy. Stupidity does not always kill but sometimes it really kills.

People are becoming less stupid.

Religion has been a focal point for all sorts of backward, indeed bigoted, thinking‘. – Richard Dawkins

‘It is time that public policy caught up with this mass turning away from religious identities and stopped privileging religious bodies with ever increasing numbers of state-funded religious schools and other faith-based initiatives’. – Andrew Copson [Read more…]

”The world is silent while atheists are persecuted”

I thank Andrew Copson, the chief executive of the British Humanist Association, for writing an article about persecution of atheists on Humans Rights Day. What he says is so true! The world is silent while atheists are persecuted.

The plight of the non-religious is not new – the Bangladeshi humanist Taslima Nasrin has lived in exile for nearly twenty years – but the availability of free expression through social media in particular is triggering greater persecution than before. Between 2007 and 2011, IHEU saw only three major social media ‘blasphemy’ prosecutions. In 2012 the report documents more than a dozen cases of people in ten different countries charged for ‘blasphemous’ statements made on social media. People like Hamza Kashgari, a 23-year-old poet and columnist from Saudi Arabia, denounced as an apostate and now held in a Saudi jail; or Alber Saber, due to be sentenced in Egypt this week, accused of uploading the ‘Innocence of Muslims’ YouTube video, and arrested by the police which his mother called to disperse a mob that was threatening him; or Alexander Aan in Indonesia, sentenced to more than two years for “spreading… religious hatred and animosity” by running an atheist Facebook page.

‘Feminism is hated because women are hated’.

On December 6, 1989, a misogynist murderer called Marc Lépine walked into École Polytechnique in Montreal, Canada and shot 28 women, killing 14 of them. He hated women. He separated the men from the women and before opening fire on the classroom of female engineering students he screamed, “I hate feminists.”

God could not save children in his ‘own country’.

Kerala is the most literate state in India. Everything is so perfect in Kerala that it is called ‘God’s Own Country’.The National Geographic’s Traveller magazine named Kerala as one of the ten paradises of the world.

But girls get sexually abused in the paradise, they get raped in god’s own country. Here are some recent rape cases. [Read more…]
