This is the current state of the Dune egg experiment.
There were a few large voids along the base of the egg, which I drilled out carefully and have been blocking them up with tape, and injecting resin into the holes. It takes a couple of passes, because the surface of the egg winds up with a lot of sticky resin on it, and it’s best to proceed slowly. Once it’s all full, I’ll shape it back down and polish it. Right now, the surface is around 600 grit. You can see where the resin made it clear, that the interior is visible even if it’s not, now.
