A Remarkably Good Richard Dawkins

Somehow this escaped my notice; probably because I don’t watch much funny television. (Can we still talk about “television” anymore?)

This is from back in 2012, right around the time (coincidentally) when Dawkins started posting his “you kids get offa my lawn!” complaints about uppity post-modernism. I admit that, at the time, it did seem like perhaps he was searching for relevance – or, as Mitchell and Webb imply: a new target.

Watch Mitchell’s amazing emulation of Dawkins’ manner and body-language. He does Dawkins as well as Dawkins does, maybe even better. Now, if we could just replace Bill Maher with somebody funny…

David Mitchell is generally pretty good whatever he is talking about, The Mitchell and Webb homeopathy ER sketch is a classic.
