For those of you like me who do not watch Game of Thrones, here is my favorite Sesame Street character Grover to explain what the story is about and who wins the game.
And here is my least favorite Sesame Street character Elmo trying to play the role of peacemaker.
I am pretty sure there are allusions in both clips that only those who have followed the series closely will get.
I would figure many people would get the “iron throne” allusion. That’s referenced enough in culture that people who don’t watch the show at all could get it.
Otherwise, the “don’t lose your head” comment to a character who was decapitated was a bit disturbing. Then again, the allusions should be aimed at the adults watching and not at the children, right?
No nude muppets? No murders? No betrayals? Not even one zombie or dragon?

Okay, you’re right, that makes it a little better. I must have zoned out there.
But still, without muppets fucking, stabbing each other in the back, maybe telling lewd jokes every now and then, it just doesn’t feel right.
The plot? Not really that important.
There are some pretty brutal allusions that are best that only adults would get, such as Rob noting he has a wedding to get to.

Sounds like you’d like Meet the Feebles. Disclaimer: it’s a thoroughly dreadful Peter Jackson film that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else.
Joffrey (a child-king) “choking” was another disturbing allusion. He was actually poisoned at his wedding reception, but of course that wouldn’t fly on Sesame Street.
file thirteen: #2 and #4 are not meant to be taken seriously. (But I do think GoT has some redeeming qualities.) Never heard of it before, but Meet the Feebles sounds pretty awful. I’ll take the LOTR and Hobbit movies any day.
