Dine-and-dash dater gets his just desserts

Remember the story I wrote about back in August of the Los Angeles man who would use dating apps to arrange dinner dates with women at nice restaurants and after eating an expensive meal would leave the table on some excuse and vanish, leaving the women with huge bills? He had defrauded at least ten women over a period of two years.

Well a court has sentenced him to 120 days in jail, three years of probation, and banned him from using dating apps and websites.

At least for the next three months, he won’t have to pay for his meals.

You left out the punchline. As one of the victims said:

He doesn’t have to worry about any meals now. He’s gonna get three square meals a day

Honestly, I wonder why he even bothered. Ten women over two years? That’s less than once per two months! You’ll spend more time peddling for victims than it would take to dumpster dive for your meals. I can only conclude that running the scam was the reason in itself.
He didn’t need a meal. He needed to trick someone. He needed to feel superior, and this was the best he could come up with.

    The prosecution rests.
