Sanders in Cleveland tells Republicans not to be “tough but stupid”

Bernie Sanders had a huge rally in Cleveland that attracted tens of thousand of enthusiastic supporters which I unfortunately could not attend and he again hit out at the Bush-Cheney regime for their appalling decision to invade Iraq that is the cause for the present instability and chaos in the region. Watch a short bit of his speech where he dealt with the attacks.

“You remember President Bush, ” he asked rhetorically. “He was very very tough, but not very smart. He and Dick Cheney and the whole lot of them, they were tough! And they said ‘we should invade Iraq.’ We should do it virtually alone and the result was 6,700 brave men and women from our country dead, hundreds of thousands of our best young people coming home with injuries — physical and emotional. Many many hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead and wounded. Huge instability in the entire region, and we are paying the price today for that instability and chaos.”
“So I say to my Republican colleagues,” he continued. “Yeah, we have got to be tough, but not stupid.”

He also spoke at length about his signature issue of economic inequality.

He earned thunderous applause early on for suggesting that, rather than investing in jails, the U.S. should spend more on education. He still had the crowd buzzing toward the end when he worked through his boilerplate prescriptions for criminal justice reform. And he became animated in between when he bemoaned income inequality.

Wages, said Sanders, are ”Too. Damn. Low.” He called for raising the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour — ”A starvation wage!” he cried — to $15 an hour.

I hope I can see him the next time he comes around.

I don’t get it, when asked do you have any critical comments of hillary as a state department secretary, why can’t he frigging answer straight that she apologized for iraq, but then spear headed libya, spear headed toppling assad, condone saudi’s helping isis. She also spear headed TPP as a gold standard. What the frigging wrong with him to answer this in the debate ? He was calculating, giving vague circumlocutory answers. If he thinks he gonna wins hillary supporters by appeasing hillary, he never be the nominee.
I was cringing listening to the way he was answering to that question. What the frigging wrong with you bernie. Your supporters are way better prepared to debate than frigging you are. Your arrogance not to prepare for the first debate but just give your stump speech in the debate, which was already heard and available in the internet was frigging so stupid. Then you said you gonna ‘differentiate’ yourself from hillary, but you can’t even frigging answer straight when asked what criticism you have for hillary’s job as state dept secretary. When that question was asked, I was yelling and shouting at my screen to want you to tell this, you haven’t frigging even think of this or prepared ? you don’t need any preparation for this simple thing, TPP gold standard ?!! are you stunned and dumb frigged by that question bernie ?
    Gosh, frigging stupid bernie.
I lost the hope. I am gonna vote, once again, like 2012, Jill Stein.
