Bernie Sanders to hold rally in Cleveland

He will hold his rally at 7:00 pm on Monday, November 16th at Cleveland State University. Unfortunately, I cannot go to it, much as I would have liked to. More information is here.

Meanwhile the US postal workers union has decided to endorse Sanders.

This article looks at how the Sander campaign is trying to utilize the grassroots enthusiasm for his campaign into massive rallies that then can be used to create a political machine.

What has surprised many observers has been his appeal to young people. In his interaction with the media, he stays relentlessly on message and refuses to get sidetracked on food fights. In this interview, you can see that he is genuinely mad as hell at the state of the country and this is what I think endears him to many people.

I can’t recall if you mentioned it, Mano, but one thing I saw somewhere -- if the democrats had any sense, they would be using Sanders’ rallies to register voters. They seem to be the place that might be drawing people who so far have felt politics were not for them.

“I wonder if ultimately he’s going to be the left’s version of Ron Paul.”

I like Bernie. I think Hillary is the stronger candidate and leader, two decades of partisan investigations and systematic abuse tends to weed out the weak ones, but there is no reason to insult the poor man by comparing him to the notorious compulsive liar and huckster Ron Paul. It is an undeserved low blow. I think you owe Bernie an apology, and a small campaign contribution.
