Let the Republican food fight continue!

The Democratic candidates have generally avoided attacking each other up this point. Even during the debate, they refrained from exploiting too much the media’s perceived weaknesses of each candidate. Not so on the Republican side where the infighting is getting quite nasty. Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, after starting out professing their friendship and admiration for one another, have now started attacking each other. Donald Trump said some time ago that their friendship was a façade and that they really hated each other and it turns out that he was right.

Meanwhile, former president George W. Bush, campaigning in support of his brother, has unleashed a sharp attack on Ted Cruz, accusing him of sucking up to Trump.

Meanwhile, the Carly Fiorina boomlet following her harsh comments about abortion in the debate seems to be fading rapidly. The latest CNN/ORC poll (item #32) shows her at a mere 4%, sharply down from 15% in mid-September, which puts her in Huckabee, Paul, Christie, Cruz loser territory. Watch for her to come out with something outrageous at the next debate on October 28 or even sooner in an attempt to be seen as a contender.

The only person who has avoided getting into spats with other candidates is Ben Carson, though his personal fight with the truth is truly epic and he is losing.

Trump and Jeb Bush have also been engaging in a Twitter war because the former has refused to go along with the charade promoted by JB that GWB ‘kept us safe’. Trevor Noah also had something to say about the Bush-Trump feud and finds himself reluctantly forced to concede that Trump is right about this too.

Larry Wilmore also got his digs in at Jeb Bush’s floundering attempts to deflect charges of hypocrisy.

Since when do Republicans care about being accused of hypocrisy? Intellectual honesty isn’t really their bag.

Ha ha that was funny -- but why single out poor Ben Carson?
