The corrupting influence of money on elections


It was clear that Jon Stewart was livid at what he saw as the implications of the US Supreme decision in the case McCutcheon v. FEC and he devoted three segments to the topic.

    I agree with most of what Stewart said, except about cameras in the Supreme Court. Does he honestly think that would help? I personally think it would only encourage the oral arguments and comments from the justices to be even less about legal arguments and more about scoring political points. Scalia would love the attention — just read the transcribed comments he’s made during oral arguments, or actually hear him speak at law schools, and you’ll see what I mean.
