The Medicaid expansion horror show

There are lots of things to dislike about the Affordable Care Act. The one thing that is undoubtedly good is the expansion in the eligibility criteria for Medicaid (that along with Medicare is the closest thing the US has to a single-payer system) so that people who earned a little too much to qualify for it earlier but earn too little to get the subsidies could not get access to affordable health care.

This is why I feel nothing but fury at those states that have refused to accept the Medicaid expansion program although it will cost nothing at all to those states for the first few years and almost nothing after that. The people who oppose the expansion say they are worried about the federal budget but you know that they are either stupid or lying. They simply do not want there to be broader access to health care for the poor.

Al Madrigal of The Daily Show tries to understand these horrible people.

Which is why they all are calling for the cancellation of the F-22, F-35 and the littoral assault ship. Right?
