The War on Christmas is now pretty much on autopilot

Remember when you were a child and were having a silly fight with your siblings or friends and the best part was when the other person became so sensitive to the smallest slight that all that it took to get them riled up about something was to make the slightest gesture (like a look) without even having to actually do anything substantial?

Well we seem to have reached that stage in the war on Christmas. We have made the pious defenders of the baby Jesus so uptight that you only have to do something really minor and silly like put up a beer Festivus pole or write a facetious article to trigger a major freak out and comedians are having a field day with the resulting nonsense.
