Finished. All exams graded. All final grades calculated. All letter grades submitted to the registrar.

A day at the beach would be nice, the best I could manage was a walk through the snow. Maybe popcorn and a movie at home tonight? Early to bed and sleep until Christmas? My ambitions are simple and uncomplicated.

Hooray! You did it. Now you can go outside with a bottle of your favorite beverage and a bucket and make the worlds largest snow-cone! Just postpone delving into all the depressing rtwingnut antics for a while. Let your psyche recover.

if you’re going to see the new Avatar movie, let us know how it went. Is it worth fighting crowds for a couple weeks or wait until January. Might need a pee bottle, though. It’s 192 minutes in length.

@3 Saw it. Story is as thin as ever, still “Dances With Wolves” in space. (Chapter 2: Attack of the Killer Whale.) That said, the VFX are truly spectacular. Cameron is still pushing the envelope of film and digital technology, so if you’re into that kind of thing, go see it in the best format you can. If you’re not, it can wait or just skip it altogether. Found myself counting tropes during the fight scenes.

And yeah, this is not a movie where you supersize your movie snacks. Movie is nearly 3.5 hours long. No Easter eggs at the end so you can skip a solid 10-15 minutes on the end credits.

Finished giving final exams on Wednesday. Filed semester grades on Friday. Slept in till 6:35 on Saturday! On school days I’m usually pulling into the faculty lot at that time. It was shocking!

After reading First Dog on the Moon, I hesitate to recommend a journey to Australia. They may have pleasant weather , they may be rid of a corrupt PM but they might get another firestorm just in time for your arrival.
    The Caribbean maybe?
