No, I’m not done!

I got out of the house to celebrate the end of the semester yesterday, but it was slightly premature. Next week is finals week. I have to slap myself to attention and buckle down and write the genetics final and post it on Canvas.

It shouldn’t be too bad. I’m planning to take full advantage of the Canvas autograder, so I mainly have to invest time this morning in setting up the problems with discrete answers and plugging the answer key into the software, and then grading next week will mainly involve updating the grade sheet.

I slept in until 7am this morning! The stress is fading already!

Birger, do you have a life outside of PZ’s Pharyngula? Your eagerness, to me, seems worrisome.

Life? Is that some kind of immersive game?

The time factor means I can check Pharyngula when there are quiet periods at work. Also, the locals are rarely into the books, films and cultural references of a nerd so I use this place to get up for air.
(there are plenty of people in Sweden who are into the kind of things discussed here, they are just spread thinly over a huge area. Sorta like Minnesota but without the evangelicals)

    BTW happy Cinco de Mayo.

After British local elections, the tories consider triggering election this year, before it gets even worse.

They have gerrymandered election districts to cheat, but those changes do not come in force until next year. And the expected economic meltdown by then will eliminate the election advantage gained by cheating.

    PJ,

Do you classic quizzes or the new quizzes? I recently switched over to the new quizzes. I like the additional question styles that are possible. If you don’t know how a question style works, there are plenty of Youtube videos to show how.
