Another thing to remember here, it seems very likely to me that such videos are edited to shwo only the worst / best for their purposes responses..

IOW, people that gave more intelligent or nuanced responses didn’t make the final “cut” of Powell’s clips.

Its also possible people reponding guessed what Powell was doing and played along either because they agreed or for the lols and to get on camera..

Did beards evolve to protect from punches? That hypothesis requires some empirical evidence. Will Matt Powell volunteer as a Punch-test Dummy?

Again, just like Ray! The only thing missing is the “Are you a good person?” act where stealing a cookie as a child makes you just as evil as a serial killer.

Just to cheer you up I am including a link showing the power of logic over superstition.
An ISIS symphathiser became an atheist when he found evidence of plagiarism in the koran:
A fictional 6th century account in arameic about Alexander the Great resurfaced in arabic with Alexander called D-ul-Qarnain in the koran.

5:42 It’s unlikely that beards are selected for a minor enhancement against an unlikely and relatively rare experience.

Keep in mind that for an annoying git such as Matt Powell, being punched in the face probably does not seem unlikely or rare.
