In his Telzey Amberdon novels, James H. Schmitz featured big cats who were hunted by humans for sport — and bagged the hunter about as often as the hunter bagged them. But the cats vanished and refused to play along when the humans cheated by resorting to high-tech devices to shift the odds in their favor. Fair is fair!

Yes, pretty much the only hunters I would respect would be the ones who hunted using a method that generated a 50-50 humans vs. prey kill ratio.

So, the game just involves chasing something with increasingly powerful weapons as it runs away? I don’t really see the game taking off. I noticed they made the spider look like a funnel web spider so it would appear more villainous.

It’s Windows-only, so [fighting back is] not even a possibility.
Pedantic sidenote: There is a possibility it will run using Wine on Linux. However, that won’t add any missing fight-back capability.

I looked at a first look on this game. Essentially, it’s a game of virtual hide-n-seek. It appeared okay for what it was, but certainly not the next Surgeon Simulator!

Ever played Undertale? I think you might like it. At one point you can make friends with the spiders. Also, IMHO they get the best music in the game.

FYI, you can launch Windows games right from Steam on Linux seamlessly. Steam has their own version of Wine built right in, called Proton. I use it to play games like Witcher 3, with zero issues or required configuration.
