The mildly deranged penguin points out the proper way to deal with cold weather is to have some eejit of a besotted male sit on the egg all winter whilst the females fly off to the tropics for some rest… although the trophy wife did fly off to Texas (admittedly, not quite the tropics) recently… so, ah, continue on, the idea seems to be there if the implementation needs some adjusting…
